I just stayed at this house for a wedding 4 day weekend. The house is very beautiful and the location is superb. We where very disappointed though in the the way this house was represented, and managed. The amenities stated in the description are false at best. There is not adequate seating for 20 people to be able to relax. No entry way rugs or mats, thus lots of sand in the house. Most of the windows where missing the screens. They where there just not on the windows. No lighted volleyball court. No BBQ pits, and until the last day as we where cleaning up we did not think there was a BBQ at all. We found it in the back of a closet disassembled. It was dirty, not terribly so just not cleaned by someone who seemed to know what they where doing or cared. There where Carpenter Ants crawling all over inside the house. The kitchen did not have a single dish towel, dish rag or dish drainer. There where two crock pots but one was missing the cooking insert. Lots of big pots but no medium pots. The trash can in the kitchen was way to small for a house this big. The trash can outside was way to small for a house this big rented for multiple days unless it is picked up each day and it was not. Not enough bath towels, or hand rowels. No bath mats. One small hotel style bar of soap in each bathroom. Clearly not adequate for this size house for a 4 day rental. No hand towel bars or holders by the bathroom sinks. The bath towel bar was laying on the floor in the upstairs guest bathroom the downstairs bathroom did not have one at all just the bracket on the wall where it was supposed to be. The master bathroom jet tub when used sounded like it was leaking down into the queen room closet where the furnace was. Sort of scary and loud for trying to sleep. The upstairs quest shower sounded like it was leaking down into the kitchen wall. Downstairs queen bed room did not have a bedside lamp or a chair, but plenty of room. Not way to hang any clothes up. No dresser to put anything away just one little nightstand. Upstairs queen bed room. No hangers in the closet to hang clothes. The windows where in such bad shape the wind blow through them and whistled so loud was hard to sleep. You could feel the wind blowing and it rattled the blinds. No chair. The group bed rooms did not have adequate clothing storage options, seating, or lighting. I was not in the master bedroom so I can not say what condition it

House is in a great location for the beach and well furnished. Internet was confusing, in that you had to actually go find and then hook up the wireless router yourself. Master Bedroom should really have a king sized bed instead of a double for what you pay as it is a pretty small bed for two adults.

The house was not very well maintened. The garbage disposal was leaking. The trash containers were overflowing when we arrived and no trash pickup for the entire week we were there. The birds and animals had got into the sacks and tore them open. Before our departure the boys picked the garbage up and resacked. Am sure it was torn open minutes after we left. Numerous light bulbs were either missing or burned out. No propane for the gas grill. Screen door on back sliding door would not stay on. Downstairs bath toilet paper holder would not stay attached to the wall. Spring on dishwasher soap door was broken. Ice maker did not make ice. Prep sink was very slow draining. Upstairs bathroom right sink cold water handle did not work. The hot water heater was set too hot. Hot water would scald you coming out of the faucet. For the price the house leased for manintenace was atrocious. The view was fantastic and nearness to beach was great,

I rented this house for a family reunion. I paid for my my 3 kids and their significant others to fly to Oregon. My parents live in WA so I flew in a day early to pick them up and drive them to this Rockaway Beach house. We drove up to the house and could not believe this was the house we rented. My first impression was that the curb appeal was terrible. The weeds in front had not been trimmed, There was trash everywhere. We had codes to get in the house but no instructions to open the door. That alone took several minutes. The house was clean and it was very nice. But while inspecting it, the bbq had not been used in years and had rust everywhere We had planned to BBQ fish from our planned deep sea fishing trip No one would ever BBQ anything on that grill if they planned to live thereafter. There was a fooz ball table that had no fooz ball. It just served as a good place to lay your coats There was no pictures or anything on the walls. No instructions on how to use the tv and stereo. That alone took hours to figure out. Once you figure it out it worked fine. But getting there was a chore. And I had one family member who has a degree in computer science who was baffled. It is a nice house but for that level of rent for the week, we expected more. Oh and there was trash everywhere. On the back porch, on the side yard, in front of the house. The next day someone came and cleaned the front yard but didn’t in the back yard. So we pick the trash up in the back yard Saturday, we caught lots of fish and crab on our deep sea trip. We cleaned the crab and fish at the docks. But you then have shells and leftovers after cooking them. We put the discards in bags and into the trash. A large animal of some sort came and tipped the trash and scaterred the trash. I then knew why there was trash when we arrived. But it didn’t satisfy me of why it wasn’t cleaned prior to us arriving. The house is nice but the expierence was not worth the price we paid. I don't recommend this house. All of us were very disappointed, especially myself who paid for for everyone's trip to be together. Having said all the negatives, the house is in a very nice place. The beach was great, the access to the beach was perfect. But we could have had that at other properties. It says it occomidates 22 people, we had 9. But we ran out of toliet paper, there was not trash bags, etc. Shouldn't some staple items be included? Those we purchased were left.

We had a small intimate wedding at the Rockaway Beach House in May. The house was more than we expected! Everyone had a great time and had plenty of space for everybody without feeling crowded. The layout was perfect for entertaining and stocked with all the essentials. The only compliant was that the house did not have internet access which was a huge disappointment!! Overall, a great experience and we will definitely visit again, maybe for our 10th anniversary!!
We had such a wonderful time at your villa over the 4th of July, 2009. Your place is amazing with the full floor of entertainment games and movies. Our dad loved the view of twin rocks sitting at your dining room. The Villa is perfectly located with panoramic views of the beach and the mountain. It's the Shangri-la of the Oregon Coast.
We will be back several more times in 2009.
Thanks a bunch
