Charming large vintage apartment in the Community House[formerly the "Captain's House"],with parts from 1860, all renovated and updated by keeping the original style,2 bedrooms with windows towards the harbor, Western view with great sunsets, large fully equipped kitchen, breakfast room with bay window, large living/dining room, antiques and oriental rugs throughout, original oak and maple floors,old style windows with wavy glass, summer grass patio with dining table and chairs, direct water access, 160 feet of water front on the harbor's best location.Dock and float on the harbor, directly in front of the property.

Area Information
10 min away from the Camden Hills Park, the Snow Bowl, 5 min away from the Maine Photographic Workshops, the Vesper Hill Children's Chapel, 2 hrs South of Acadia National Park, 2 hrs North of Portland, 3.5 hrs N of Boston Airport.
The area is very beautiful, the coast combines the beauty of the tall pine and spruce trees with the large granite rocks,the architecture is mostly the traditional New England style, with white clapboards, black shutters, large porches. The Fall offers superb foliage colors, the Summers are most pleasant, cool temperatures of 75-85 degrees. Wonderful location for sailing and vacationing..
5 min ride to Camden, Curtis Library, Camden Harbor and the majestic windjammers. 10 min ride to Rockland, with great shops, restaurants, antiquing, galleries, museums and ferries to most Maine Islands and Nova Scotia.
There are numerous farms nearby, with berry picking in the summer and apple picking in September.During August there are country fairs and music festivals in Rockport,Rockland, Union, Belfast, notably the Bay Chamber Music Festival, the Lobster Fest, the Union Fair.

Incredible experience...what a view!

Two girlfriends and I had the incredible pleasure of spending a week in this lovely home. It had everything we needed and more. It was a wonderful base for mid-coast Maine visiting. We traveled up and down the coast always looking forward to coming back to our home for the week. The owner was a great communicator and solved the one small maintenance issue we encountered in a very timely manner. We're talking about returning for another visit next year!
