Ideal location

We had a marvelous time at the Carriage House. The location is ideal and very quiet; yet just a short walk to beaches and the attractions. Meg lets you use beach chairs, towels etc. Meg is very friendly and laid back and willing to help in any way that will make your stay perfect. I will definitely recommend the Carriage House to my friends.

The home was very comfortable with easy walk to shopping and restaurants. The owner was helpful and provided brochures for local attractions, along with recommendations for local restaurants. The ability to book the home for other than a Saturday to Saturday stay was most flexible.

My husband & I spent a week at the carriage house in late Austust, earlt September. It was a fabulous base from which to explore the immediate area. It was very hot and so we made use of the local beaches. The accomodations were ideal for us as a couple. We watched the US Open tennis too in the evening. We ate out three times in Gloucester and a couple of times in Rockport and we were lucky enough to eat, lobster, crab, scallops, shrimp, mussels and some fabulous white fish. We lead a stressful city life and this was one of the best weeks of R & R we have ever had. The hosts are splendid. They even allowed us to access their vegetable garder which was full of tomatoes and delicious beans. I'd go there again in a heartbeat.

This vacation unit was absolutely perfect... perfect location, perfect accomodations, and perfect host. We really enjoyed everything about this unit and would recommend to anyone. Walking distance to town and very cute inside. Pictures do not do justice to the size of the unit. Can't wait to go back

"Rest & Renewal"

This location is just lovely! I arrived by train and Meg couldn't have been more hospitable in welcoming me as I settled in for the weekend. From early morning walks, to afternoon kayaking; lazing at the beach with a good read to shopping and dining at Bearskin Neck with a friend ~ this was the perfect retreat for rest and renewal. The property is quintessential north shore and Meg is delightful. I can't wait for my next visit!
