Description of the Rockport vacation home rental

Rockport waterfront! This sunny and immaculate 3 bedroom/2 bath waterfront home is situated on a bluff overlooking Sandy Bay and Pigeon Cove Harbor where it is more than likely the boat that lands the lobsters you will have for dinner hails from. Popples Cove House offers everything you could hope for in a vacation getaway-beauty, location & privacy, comfort and convenience. It is beautiful inside and out-the reflection of the glittering sea lights up the inside of this graceful home that is decorated in pure creams and whites. The house is at the end of a dead end private road, so if you want quiet, this is where you will find it. If you crave more activity, it is an easy walk (with views the whole way) to the village of Rockport with its restaurants, beaches, shops and galleries. Inside the lower level of the house is a comfy family room with a flat screen TV and DVD/VCR and a pullout sofa for extra guests. The main floor is an open concept dining (with sliders to a sheltered outside sitting area) and living room, with those incredible views and a large, sunny eat-in kitchen with gas cooking and a full bath. The master king bedroom is also on the main floor with cathedral ceilings and sliders to a deck with views. The second floor has two lovely bedrooms and a sparkling full bath. There is a full laundry in the basement and parking for 4 cars. There are safety issues for small children, please discuss with your vacation specialist.

Area Information

At the northern-most tip of Cape Ann lies the quaint town of Rockport. Settled in 1690, Rockport quickly became a leader in granite cutting; many of these outcrops can be seen today at various quarries. A host of interesting shops and galleries are located on Bearskin Neck and surrounding Rockport’s charming harbor, which is still home to an active fishing fleet. Rockport is one of the country’s oldest artist colonies and boasts some of the most widely painted seaside landscapes in the world, including the coastal shack known as Motif #1.

Deposits: AVH charges a non-refundable Booking Fee of $100.00 at the time the reservation is confirmed. AVH then sends the guest a rental contract which must be signed and returned within 10 days accompanied by payment for half the total rent and for the damage waiver (see below). The balance of the rent must be paid 60 days prior to occupancy. The contract will specify all due dates and amounts.
