Quiet and Comfortable Get-a-way

My wife and I stayed at this cottage for a week recently and it became the surprise highlight of the trip. The cottage is located in a quiet neighborhood on a street that has lots of space between homes - you don't feel crowded. There is a home directly across the street but the neighbors are friendly and quiet - it really is a relaxing environment. The home itself is well appointed and freshly remodeled with great comfortable living areas. There was only my wife and myself on the trip but the home had enough beds to sleep 6 comfortably. This would be a great place to bring the whole family. The bath has endless hot water and a roomy Jacuzzi tub with shower along with full washer and dryer which makes cleaning up easy. The living areas have wood flooring throughout with amazingly comfortable chairs and a 12 foot sofa that make you feel right at home. You can watch the clouds roll by through the large sliding glass door in one direction or turn and watch the large TV with DirecTV satellite in the other. The kitchen has everything you need with all the dishes, flatware and pots and pans - it has a deep sink and wide Corian style c'ountertops. We also enjoyed the yard very much - the backyard has a great sitting deck with ceiling fan and large shade trees with a grill and picnic table underneath. The shade with the sea breeze makes it easy to enjoy the outside anytime but especially in the evening. Each time we went outside we enjoyed watching the squirrels and rabbits that were constantly playing in the yard. The quiet environment made it especially enjoyable to take our morning and evening walks through the neighborhood which we did every day we were there and the lack of traffic made us feel like we were at home. When it comes down to fishing time the home's location is perfect. I have a fairly large boat which there was plenty of room for at the cottage - access to upper Copano bay is only two blocks away where there are two boat ramps. They were working on the large double boat ramp so we went over one block to the single ramp where we launched my boat with ease and followed the canal out. On the days e wanted hit the Gulf side of the bay we simply went right down hwy 35 maybe two miles to Goose Creek Park and put the boat in there. The fishing was great and we were literally moments from the cottage when we were done. The owner is great and makes the stay easy to plan - he could easily and fairly charge much more. I cannot recommend this cottage enough.
