Peaceful, unique, S.W.Florida, residential location (double lot), on a quiet cul-de-sac, abutting a huge green preserve in back with great sunsets (South and West rear lanai and pool exposure). Enhanced privacy with vacant lots on each side. Deed restricted community of Rotonda West designated as a bird sanctuary containing: 30 miles of Fishing and Kayak waterways, 6 Golf Courses, Tennis Courts, and Bike and Walking paths. Nearby are: many fine beaches, State and County Beach Parks, excellent fishing (including world class trophy Tarpon fishing at Boca Grande Pass), top notch boating, boating excursions and marinas, and great shopping just 5 to 10 minutes away. Off the beaten path of heavy traffic on a peninsula in Charlotte Harbor near the Sanibel - Captiva Island chain.
We chose Rotonda WEST and the Placida /Gasparilla area because of incredibly lovely beaches & uncrowded roads to those beaches. When one crosses the bridge to nearby Gasparilla and Boca Grande, one passes over some of the loveliest turquoise water in South West Florida; never mind the lovely scenes of boats and fishermen. We thought we would build in Naples, or Fort Myers, or Estero, but found them TOO crowded with TOO much traffic! So, we then custom built this house in Rotonda to take advantage of a wild life preserve in back, Southwest sunshine , and the tranquil vistas of a nearby, peaceful, preserve pond (check the map location)where Snowy Egrets and Herons roost as lovely sunsets filter over the Preserve's many huge Palms and Giant Oaks. To ensure privacy and views from the Master Bedroom, we also purchased the lot to the North. We are blessed with short drives to many wonderful, uncrowded beaches, marinas, recreation spots, County and State Parks, great shopping and SIX GOLF COURSES right in our Rotonda West Community! Minimal traffic makes morning and evening walks along our 30 miles of waterways a pleasure. Our home has a Guest Suite on the opposite side of the house from the Master Bedroom Suite. The Guest Suite has two bedrooms and bath with walk in shower. Outside there are some of the largest Bismark Palms and Oaks in our community - just hang a bird feeder and watch! Medalist Circle is a quiet, peaceful, residential cul de sac with almost all new homes on it. A picturesque waterway is right across the street and most of the adjacent roadways are bordered with waterways which is wonderful for our Necky Tandem Sea Kayak . We particularly like good supermarkets with fresh produce, and within a five to ten minute drive there are three Publix Supermarkets, one Sweetbay, and a large farm produce store. Also within that distance are: Home Depot, Bealls, CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, and many more stores and restaurants. ENJOY!
