Home is in beautiful location with lovely setting. Inside very inviting with everything you would need. Linens were especially nice. Enjoyed watching the lobster boats right in front. Lots of room. Only downside was that the furniture could use some updating/repair.

FABULOUS !!! What a view!! Cottage is beautiful, well maintained, nicely furnished and a great place to get away from it all. I was very skeptical when I found this rental but upon arrival I soon realized I had nothing to worry about. The owners really go out of their way to make you feel welcom and at home. When we arrived after a very long and miserable flight, the smell of free apples greeted us as we came in the door, along with some wine, taffy, information about the area, history of the cottage and just enough staples to get us started until we got to the store. It rained 5 of the 7 days we were there but every day started with coffee and that view of the harbor......need I say more?

We absolutely loved staying in this cottage and will likely do so again. We were so impressed with the location and the rustic comfort of the cottage, the pics online don't do it justice. Round Pond center is a 3 min drive and Damarscotta a 15 min drive. The cottage came with plenty of cooking essentials, board games and wood to make a fire. Plus plenty of scenery to look out at from the back deck. If you want to feel off the grid this is your place.

The owners of the property were fantastic and helpful with many day trip ideas of things to see and places to eat -- including a complete binder on the history of the house, area and things to do. Drinking in the view of the harbor from the front of the house was fantastic. Our family had a wonderful time and it was very hard to depart for home. I would not hesitate to recommend this property as all of the extras truly made it feel like home! Recommend buying the lobster from the dock next door and eating while enjoying the gorgeous view!

I have to say the cottage that I saw in the pictures on the web site didn't do the cottage justice. The cottage is adorable.We found everything that we needed to stay comfortably for the week.Our last day in the cottage proved to be a bit warm but we still enjoyed our stay!!! Maine was a great vacation!!!

We took our two small dogs up for a week in Maine and were delighted with the home, the view, the village. Friendly atmosphere at King Ro Mkt. (invited to their open mic session), Dot's Bakery (great blueberry pie and raspberry turnovers), the Anchor Inn, and lobster from the small shop on the pier. Everything was provided at the comfortable home. I've vacationed in Maine since 1956 on Lake Damariscotta, so this was my first time on the coast. I loved it. And all the work was done for us! The Salt Bay Cafe in Damariscotta has great chowder and the Miles Thrift Shop is fun. And of course no trip to Maine is complete without Moody's Diner and their pancakes. Thank you for the wonderful vacation.

A Perfect Honeymoon

My wife and I still think back fondly to the view of the harbour from the windows of this beautiful house. The owners went out of their way to make us feel at home, and we wanted for nothing during our week-long stay. They provided us with ample information for activities in the area. We made use of the full kitchen to prepare meals with seafood from the wharf down the street and fresh, local produce. The house is the perfect home base for exploring the surrounding area, learning how to shuck Pemaquid oysters, or holing up with a book in the living room sipping hot chocolate. I would highly recommend this house to anyone.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed having this house as a base for exploring mid coast Maine. Lots of room to spread out. The owners paid a lot of attention to details and being sure we had everything we might need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. And the location on the harbor is a million dollar view. My wife had tea each morning watching the lobster boats coming and going and imagining what they might be up to. Round Pond is a small picturesque village with many old houses and fascinating architecture. Good food in the area and friendly people. The rest of the area was fun to explore with the Pemaquid lighthouse, working harbors, old fort and settlement and cozy town of Damariscotta not far away with not one, but two independent coffee shops. We highly recommend this property.

Better than a hotel!!!

This house is located in a very scenic area. View from your window is lovely. The house itself is comfortable and "homey". The owners go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need to make your stay more enjoyable. The house was very clean. Why stay in a motel room when you can stay in a three bedroom two bath house!!!???Would highly recommend.

We loved this place! An absolutely "picture-postcard-perfect" view of the harbor full of sailboats and lobstering boats! The owners anticipated our needs quite well. We found the property to be very clean and well furnished with kitchen, bed, and bath necessities, and much more. Oh, and did I mention the view? :-)
