About 4 miles to Inn of the Mountain Gods Casino. Come for winter sports or summer in the cool mountains. Gated community. Wood burning fireplace (wood provided); phones in all rooms. Washer and dryer. Tastefully decorated in quality Southwestern decor. Central heat and A/C. Great for two couples, group of singles or a family. Each level has its own bedroom with en-suite bath, so there is a sense of privacy even when everyone is there. TVs in livingroom, and both bedrooms with DVD/VCRs. Fully furnished and equipped so all you need is your clothes and food. Great variety of restaurants, lakes and streams for fishing in area. Sierra Blanca mountain towers over the villages. You've discovered paradise when you come to the Ruidoso area.

Outstanding hiking, biking, horse-back riding, stage coach trips, lake or stream fishing, sightseeing tours, historical sights, Native-American arts and crafts, Hurd Museum of Art; several golf courses. Day trips to White Sands Historic Site, Three-Rivers Petroglyph site, Valley of Fires State site (volcanic lava flows), Alamagordo, Billy the Kid historic sites. Only about 50 miles to Roswell, NM (alleged alien crash site). Only 2 hour drive from El Paso airport; 3 hours from Albuquerque airport. And best of all, many views of 12,000 foot Sierra Blanca Mountain, with Ski Apache operating Thanksgiving through March, weather permitting. Ski lifts and gondola can take approx. 11,000 people up the slopes per hour. Many good restaurants, Spencer Theatre operates year round.
