Description of the Saco vacation home rental

Very nice roomy 2 b/r unit which is right side of a duplex. This is located on a very quiet side street in the Camp Ellis area but close to the beach, around the corner. Completely renovated in spring 2011, laminate floors, new bath, etc. BED SETUP: Master b/r has 1 queen bed; 2nd b/r has 1 full bed and there’s a Queen sleep sofa in living room. Home will sleep 6. It has an enclosed porch on the rear. Room to park 2 cars…one in driveway & one on the front lawn. Gas BBQ grille; new bath with shower/tub combo; microwave, cable TV, washer/dryer. WIFI. The beach just a short walk down the street. Nice house & location in this popular vacation rental area. Sorry no pets permitted. $1,300/wk

Area Information

Camp Ellis is a "Fishing Village" area….now dotted with newly-remodeled. It is still an active fishing area for commercial lobstermen & fishermen. You can go over to the dock and watch both fishing vessels and pleasure boats.

Nearby is the Camp Ellis General Store which features daily lobster catch during season & will cook to perfection while you wait or return to pick them up. They also serve breakfast. In Camp Ellis you can also buy lobsters at "boat prices directly from our friend & neighbor nearby also. Deep-sea fishing boats leave from the docks in Camp Ellis.

At Camp Ellis there are 2 restaurants (specializing in seafood), a bait & tackle shop, deep-sea fishing boats leave from the docks in Camp Ellis. Kayak rentals are nearby for use on the Saco River, which goes out to the ocean at Saco Bay. There is also a mile-long jetty to fish from or just to walk on, a large dock with both fishing & pleasure boats in the harbor. The tackle shop in Camp Ellis is on the dock area.

Golf club 3 miles away; Funtown & Aquaboggin Water Park 10-minute drives away on Rte. 1 in Saco. Old Orchard with amusements and famous pier 3 miles away.
