Description of the Saco vacation home rental

Charming Saco Maine Beach Cottage just 100 yards walk to a breathtaking 7-mile beach. The cottage is tastefully decorated with an updated kitchen, charming family room with a knotty pine ceiling and brick fireplace, a convenient downstairs bedroom and bath (perfect for in-laws). Upstairs there is a large master bedroom, 2 other bedrooms and a full bath with a double vanity and separate room for bathtub/shower and toilet facilites. Two of the bedrooms have ocean views. There is a Patio off the kitchen with gas grill and a large teak table which is perfect for hosting summer cookouts and lobster feasts. The comfortable front porch is a wonderful place to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or unwind in the afternoons with with family and friends with a glass of wine or cup of tea. Our cottage has the feel of staying at a quaint B&B, yet you get the whole house to enjoy with family and friends. The cottage is an ideal place for extended family gatherings or for friends to reconnect.

Area Information

Our Beach Cottage is located in a quiet, family friendly, coastal area of Saco, known as Kinney Shores, within walking distance to Ocean Park, which has a several small restaurants and a convenience store/bakery known for their homemade "sticky buns". Approximately 1 mile south to Ferry Beach State Park, 2 miles south to Camp Ellis where the Saco River meets the ocean. 2 miles north to Old Orchard Beach's attractions, and 15-20 minutes from the waterfront city of Portland with wonderful shops and restaurants in its historic "Old Port" section.

Looks like a beautiful cottage and my family would have loved to stay there. We were unable to rent as it was fully booked from the previous year renters. Hopefully someday we will be given a oppurtunity to rent it.

Having great memories of going to the beach for summer vacations made this year even more special. The bungalows of our youth can't compare to this wonderful cottage in Saco. Everything the places in our past didn't have, this had and more. Being a stones throw from the beach was fantastic. All of the conveniences of home were there and then some. I wish our TV setup was this good.There were 8 of us and it didn't feel at all crowded. The owners obviously have put a lot of love into the place, it shows in how well it has been taken care of. This is where "Mr. Hobbs" should have taken his vacation. Thanks for sharing your place with us...we'll be back.
