Wonderful Vacation

I must say that the description of the condo, the photos shown and the amenties provided were just as described on the website. It's a very quiet and safe neighborhood. It's a quick walk to the beautiful, pet friendly beach. If you have a lot of stuff to cart to the beach, you can actually drive and park on the beach itself. The condo is located on the 3rd floor with stairs access only, but they're not steep and only a few at a time which made it extremely do-able. There are tons of things to see and do in St Ausgustine and staying at this condo made the entire vacation well worth it. Being able to bring our Yorkie was the big bonus that finalized our decision to stay there. We were even allowed to take our dog on a Horse and Carriage ride tour of Old St Augustine. Our tour guide was Carl and his horse was Chocolate Mousse...great team!!!! Upon arriving I had to call the front desk so that they could contact the owner for the security key code for internet access. Once I got that information, I had no other issues whatsoever. Personally, I'd recommend posting the security key code on the router for future tenants. We absolutely loved it there and thank you to the owner and the staff for a wonderful visit. We'll be back for sure

Beautiful beach and ocean views

The positives-the patios truly had a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach itself was gorgeous and not heavily populated. It was nice being in a smaller condo complex, as there wasnt such a long walk to the beach. Some of the other ones we saw in the area were enormous, and if you were in the back of a bigger complex, the walk to the ocean would almost require a drive. At Island House you could be at the end of the development and still have an easy walk to the ocean. The beds had good quality mattresses. It felt like home with so much extra living space. Nice having a well stocked kitchen to eat breakfast, cook an occasional dinner and refrigerate our poolside happy hours snacks and beverages. Vac Rental Pros were available to speak with us during our stay and really answered any questions we had. One was a maintenance issue with our toilet, that took 2 calls but our toilet got fixed. I lost the Wii Fye code to the complex- they called the owner and retrieved it for us. Helped us with golf course info. The negatives were the interior was clean and comfortable but somewhat dated in appearance. As beautiful as it was to have 3 patios, the doors, their tracks and the hardware on and around them were substandard. Very hard to open and shut. Had to buy DW40. Everones voices echoed when they were on their patios throughout the interior of the complex. The pool wasnt heated/ the water was too cold to swim in/ no jacuzzi. Yet good stay, met nice folks poolside and next door to us

Thanks for a great condo. Exactly as described, clean and comfortable. We spent Christmas with our two adult children and had a great time. Although it was not swimming weather, we enjoyed walking on the beautiful beach. We went to St. Augustine several times over the holidays and enjoyed the old town tour and the beautiful Christmas light displays. We would definately stay again.

We very much enjoyed our time at this condo. My husband and I kept commenting throughout the week on how much we loved the layout of the condo... It has a very open, spacious feel to it. And the bedrooms are very nice size too. The kitchen has been updated and is very nice. It was also very nice having the washer and dryer right in our condo. (something we did not have where we stayed last year.) The view of the beach was great from our balcony. The only thing that I didn't know about when we rented it was that there is no elevator in this building. The stairs really didn't end up being a problem though. Over all it was a wonderful week! We would definitely come back to stay here!

We last stayed here in August 2007, and it was great. The condo is nicely laid out and decorated. You can walk to the beach, and there is an ocean view from the balcony. Very safe and quiet, yet close enough to Downtown and Publix Supermarket. We really enjoyed out stay here, and look forward to coming back next year!

Our family has stayed in this unit many times over the past several years. The pools and grounds are very well maintained and secure. Being able to drive on the beach is a plus; we typically have a lot of items to haul down to ocean. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy seeing baby sea turtles heading for the ocean. The unit is in a great location with easy access to the beach, lots of shops, restaurants, ghost tours, sightseeing, and the list goes on and on. Overall the condo was great. The layout was nice since we had another couple stay with us and gave us both privacy. I was a little worried about it not having an elevator but the stairs turned out just fine; not too steep and not too many at one time. Two very nice pools and great beach access. My only complaint is the wicker furniture, not my cup of tea, but who would have thought we'd be stuck inside the entire trip. 18.77 inches of rain within four days. All in all I would definately go back to this condo, especially since it accepted pets, the biggest bonus!!!! Thanks for the nice stay!
