Lots of Fun

We had a great time on our vacation! The condo was extremely nice and being so close to the ocean was terrific! We thought the value for the money was great and would definitely recommend this condo to friends and family.

We spent the month of March at Ocean Village Unit P34. Our condo was clean and well equipped. It was quiet, reasonably priced and was just as it was portrayed in the rental ad. The people staying at Ocean Village were truly some of the friendliest people we've met in Florida. We totally enjoyed the experience just from that standpoint. The furniture in the living room and bed in the Master bedroom were a little tired looking, and somewhat uncomfortable, so I would say an update is in order for those. We enjoyed every part of our stay, though. The view from our deck was beautiful, and our only disappointment was that there was no sun on the deck ever! Having escaped the Wisconsin winter, we were craving sunshine! We would stay at Ocean Village anytime!!

Condo P34 review
November 26, 2013
We enjoyed the condo. It was clean, tastefully furnished and had a wonderful view of the water. The community was immaculate and a pleasure to view. Negatives for me were the small gym at the club house and a microwave that needed updating. Other wise we greatly enjoyed our stay.

The condo was as pictured. Nice partial ocean view on balcony with a nice ocean breeze. Very easy access to both pools and the private walkway to beach. Restaurants and shopping were only minutes away-Salt Water Cowboys is a great spot for seafood. Both the management co. and the owner are very nice and easy to work with. We will be back.

Splendid Stay at Summerhouse
October 15, 2013
Spent a great week at Summerhouse in Crescent Beach. Will definitely come back, maybe for a longer stay.
October 4, 2013
We were comfortable as soon as we walked in the door. That speak volumes. This is not a new unit but it is very clean, well cared for and has everything you need right down to a wine opener. It is close to the beach and morning coffee on the balcony is really nice with the ocean sounds in the back ground. We did not bring our pets this trip but the condo is pet friendly and I was surprised that there were no reminders of other pet's visits; inside or out. There is not an elevator but after you get everything in that was not a problem for us and we are both retired in our late sixties. The area has a good number of good restaurants close by and of course the downtown area is loaded with them. If you find you need something you forgot or ran out of, there is about every name brand of shopping not very far away. We were dismayed about the forecast calling for rain but it rained in the afternoon for less than a half hour and dried up quickly. If you enjoy driving on the beach that is permitted with easy access close by. There is a nice boardwalk leading over the dunes to the beach with showers at the entrance when you come back from the beach to rinse off the sand.. There are plenty of walking areas for either a morning walk or after dinner stroll either on the hard packed sand or walkways in the gated complex. We enjoyed our stay and plan to return in the late winter for a break from the cold gloom. If you run out of reading material they have quite a collection there. There is a lot to do and see in this very historic area. A bit commercialized but I guess you would expect that on vacation.

This is the first time we had rented a condo and this vacation ended up being one of our better ones. The gated community made us feel safer and it was close to everything. The condo was quiet, very clean, nicely decorated and well equipped. Being able to cook meals and stay in when we wanted was a real plus. The grounds are very well maintained and the beach is just beautiful. P.S. We wanted to bring the comfy king bed home with us ;)

Awesome beach enjoyment
September 17, 2013
The condo was great , clean, welcoming, and comfortable. Waking to the sounds of the ocean and the beautiful sunrise every morning was a really memorable experience. We took advantage of the great kitchen with all we needed to prepare meals and enjoy the peace and quiet of the mornings. A nice short walk to the beach and the pool made it easy to enjoy that part of our stay. Everyone was very helpful and eager to make our stay a great one. Being in the healthcare field, the one thing I noticed might be helpful for the future safety of guests, would be to install a handrail in the baths and showers. Most accidents that occur in the home are in the bath, this would be a quick and easy fix to prevent falling in the tub. I could not have asked for a better vacation than the one I had there.
Loved this condo

This condo is perfectly set on my favorite Fla beach in St Augustine Beach. On the beach where you can walk to the fabulous pool or drag your cooler and chairs to the beach. The beaches are wide for biking on your beach cruisers, and has great breaks for surfing. You can also drive your car on the beach here and it is pet friendly as long as you keep your dogs on a leash. ( one of the few pet friendly beaches in FLa), This condo is close to downtown old St. Augustine with all the old character and history of the Spanish Fort and even fun things like The Ripley's Believe or Not museum, The Alligator Farm, Marineland with the dolphins, and even the ghost tours. Fabulous public marina for boaters and sailors. Great fun for adults and kids! Fabulous restaurants and bars that you can walk to from the condo. They even have great national act concerts coming thru town at the outdoor amphitheater. This condo property is safe and gated. the owner has this condo decorated beautifully and has clean linens (no bed bugs). The kitchen is fully stocked and appliances are in good shape, We come here often as is there are no surprises. We have been renting this condo for over 10 years al least once a year. Price is very reasonable. Enjoy!!!
Have slept to the sound of the ocean....

Couldn't really hear the ocean, but this is a great condo! Well stocked and clean enough upon arrival.....the short walking distance to the beach is a big plus, and the overall location is great for sightseeing and shopping. We were impressed with the entire complex. However, since the unit supplied Wifi, it would have been nice to have the information needed to log on posted somewhere handy. But overall, a wonderful place to spend a week and certainly good value for the money. B& D

Escaped the hustle and bustle of life in the District of Columbia for a week along Florida's First Coast. Our condo at Ocean Village was awesome. Having comfortable bedrooms to escape for a midday nap was a blessing. Clean and comfortable with well stocked kitchen and super fast response when inquiring with the owner about Wi-Fi connectivity. Plenty of friends for the child and dog. Was the perfect way to recharge my batteries. Nearby restaurants and beach access were superb, and a quick jaunt to all St. Augustine has to offer. Will definitely be staying here again. Seriously considering this a retirement destination. Thanks for a great, relaxing vacation.
great place to relax

Condo is comfortable and well maintained and equipped to provide a relaxing vacation. Close to beach and shopping. Great kitchen and tv. Highly recommend!
Great location, perfect getaway
May 25, 2013
The condo was clean, spacious and right by the great St Augustine beach. The whole area was quiet and peaceful, making for one of the best vacations I've ever had. There are great restaurants and things to see all over St. Augustine, which was great. But if you like to have some time away and enjoy the ocean this place allows you to do that too. Highly recommended!

I must say that the description of the condo, the photos shown and the amenties provided were just as described on the website. It's a very quiet and safe neighborhood. It's a quick walk to the beautiful, pet friendly beach. If you have a lot of stuff to cart to the beach, you can actually drive and park on the beach itself. The condo is located on the 3rd floor with stairs access only, but they're not steep and only a few at a time which made it extremely do-able. There are tons of things to see and do in St Ausgustine and staying at this condo made the entire vacation well worth it. Being able to bring our Yorkie was the big bonus that finalized our decision to stay there. We were even allowed to take our dog on a Horse and Carriage ride tour of Old St Augustine. Our tour guide was Carl and his horse was Chocolate Mousse...great team!!!! Upon arriving I had to call the front desk so that they could contact the owner for the security key code for internet access. Once I got that information, I had no other issues whatsoever. Personally, I'd recommend posting the security key code on the router for future tenants. We absolutely loved it there and thank you to the owner and the staff for a wonderful visit. We'll be back for sure

Beautiful beach and ocean views
April 17, 2011
The positives-the patios truly had a beautiful view of the ocean. The beach itself was gorgeous and not heavily populated. It was nice being in a smaller condo complex, as there wasnt such a long walk to the beach. Some of the other ones we saw in the area were enormous, and if you were in the back of a bigger complex, the walk to the ocean would almost require a drive. At Island House you could be at the end of the development and still have an easy walk to the ocean. The beds had good quality mattresses. It felt like home with so much extra living space. Nice having a well stocked kitchen to eat breakfast, cook an occasional dinner and refrigerate our poolside happy hours snacks and beverages. Vac Rental Pros were available to speak with us during our stay and really answered any questions we had. One was a maintenance issue with our toilet, that took 2 calls but our toilet got fixed. I lost the Wii Fye code to the complex- they called the owner and retrieved it for us. Helped us with golf course info. The negatives were the interior was clean and comfortable but somewhat dated in appearance. As beautiful as it was to have 3 patios, the doors, their tracks and the hardware on and around them were substandard. Very hard to open and shut. Had to buy DW40. Everones voices echoed when they were on their patios throughout the interior of the complex. The pool wasnt heated/ the water was too cold to swim in/ no jacuzzi. Yet good stay, met nice folks poolside and next door to us
Great place to visit

Thanks for a great condo. Exactly as described, clean and comfortable. We spent Christmas with our two adult children and had a great time. Although it was not swimming weather, we enjoyed walking on the beautiful beach. We went to St. Augustine several times over the holidays and enjoyed the old town tour and the beautiful Christmas light displays. We would definately stay again.

We very much enjoyed our time at this condo. My husband and I kept commenting throughout the week on how much we loved the layout of the condo... It has a very open, spacious feel to it. And the bedrooms are very nice size too. The kitchen has been updated and is very nice. It was also very nice having the washer and dryer right in our condo. (something we did not have where we stayed last year.) The view of the beach was great from our balcony. The only thing that I didn't know about when we rented it was that there is no elevator in this building. The stairs really didn't end up being a problem though. Over all it was a wonderful week! We would definitely come back to stay here!

Very relaxing area. Really nice condo. Would definately stay again.
August 13, 2009
We last stayed here in August 2007, and it was great. The condo is nicely laid out and decorated. You can walk to the beach, and there is an ocean view from the balcony. Very safe and quiet, yet close enough to Downtown and Publix Supermarket. We really enjoyed out stay here, and look forward to coming back next year!
Lots of sun and fun
August 13, 2009
Our family has stayed in this unit many times over the past several years. The pools and grounds are very well maintained and secure. Being able to drive on the beach is a plus; we typically have a lot of items to haul down to ocean. We have been fortunate enough to enjoy seeing baby sea turtles heading for the ocean. The unit is in a great location with easy access to the beach, lots of shops, restaurants, ghost tours, sightseeing, and the list goes on and on. We highly recommend you to stay at this unit, you will be very satisfied with your visit. All the best, Chris Cutler

We had a wonderful time in St. Augustine. The condo was clean, homely and very well maintained. Thank you for sharing your condo.
May 26, 2009
Overall the condo was great. The layout was nice since we had another couple stay with us and gave us both privacy. I was a little worried about it not having an elevator but the stairs turned out just fine; not too steep and not too many at one time. Two very nice pools and great beach access. My only complaint is the wicker furniture, not my cup of tea, but who would have thought we'd be stuck inside the entire trip. 18.77 inches of rain within four days. All in all I would definately go back to this condo, especially since it accepted pets, the biggest bonus!!!! Thanks for the nice stay!
