Description of the Saint Augustine vacation home rental
Our home at Bluefish 16 combines the privacy of a house with all the amenities of a condo! Located in a small oceanfront group with a pool and private beach access, Bluefish 16 is a large, sun-drenched house with a huge deck, just minutes from the beach! Known as a "house dominium," Bluefish 16 is in Surf Crest Village, a small complex right on St. Augustine Beach. As a guest here, you have access to our clubhouse, sparkling swimming pool, and private walkway to the beach. Everything is intimate, uncrowded, and private -- the perfect place for a relaxing vacation! Our 2-storey house contains 4 bedrooms and 2 baths, plus 2 living rooms -- one upstairs, one downstairs -- so your group has plenty of room to spread out. Best of all, we have a giant deck spanning the entire back of the house, with all the space you need to sunbathe, dine al fresco, and dream in the balmy sea breezes! The master bedroom is enormous, with a king-size bed, HDTV, comfy couch, and huge windows for admitting sunshine and moonlight. With hardwood floors and walls the color of key lime pie (except the brilliant raspberry panel just behind the bed!), it's as cool and inviting as a morning swim. Once you see this lovely room, you'll plan on retiring early and sleeping late! The second bedroom is also beautiful, with walls the color of margaritas and cool white fittings. There is a queen-size bed here, and plenty of space. Our third bedroom contains matching twins and citron walls, while the fourth boasts a single and trundle bed and sliding glass doors leading outside. Plenty of space for everyone here at Bluefish 16, all immaculately appointed and tastefully designed! We have two full bathrooms at Bluefish 16, one with handsome tilework and wood cabinetry to complement its walk-in shower, the other with both a bathtub and shower option. All of your linens, pillows, blankets, and towel sets are provided here at Bluefish 16, so don't worry about packing a thing for the house. We've also got a washer and dryer, so you don't even need to overpack clothing. And it's so handy when all the swimsuits are wet but the kids want to go back to the beach just one more time before bed! Our house is designed for comfortable privacy when it's time to get a good night's sleep, but it's also conducive to togetherness for entertaining and mealtimes. Both of our two large living rooms contains roomy couches and large LVD TVs with DVD players and VCRs. And because they're on different floors, one part of your group can be upstairs watching the big game while another is downstairs listening to music and reminiscing. You will probably find yourself taking most of your meals outside on the deck -- it's just too beautiful not to! -- but in case you wind up inside, our dining area is perfect for a family feast. Our long, handsome table sits just beyond a huge, sunny window, and within easy reach of the kitchen counter, which doubles as a breakfast bar for informal dining. After the meal is over, toss everything into the dishwasher and then settle down to a round of Pictionary or Uno. Snacks and drinks are just a few steps away, the music's on in the DVD player, and life is good! Our fully appointed kitchen is a chef's delight, and is spacious enough for several cooks to get into the action. With all the major and minor appliances, gadgets, utensils, and cookware you need to prepare and serve just about anything, it may tempt you to fry up the catch of the day instead of eating out! Granite countertops, custom wood cabinetry, and all the nice little extras that make cooking more of a pleasure than a chore are waiting for you here. Come stay at Bluefish 16 for your next vacation. It brings you all the comforts of home in an oceanfront setting. Stroll along the beach at sunrise to witness the spectacular dawn colors, spend an afternoon at the pool, and visit historic St. Augustine or nearby Marineland! There's so much to do and see here, in the perfect year-round weather.

Nice Enough

April 21, 2013

We had a great time at Bluefish 16 in St. Augustine have some small issues and complaints but my major complaint is the second day we were there someone from another unit pooped in the pool (Mon) and it was not cleaned or useable again our entire visit (sat) and that was the main reason we chose this residence was because it was a house, it had a POOL and it was on the beach so we were very disappointed with maintenance.

First it wasn't a 2 bedroom it was a 1 bedroom and 1 bathroom condo. Second, there was no face towel in the bathroom, no washcloth in the kitchen to at least clean the countertop and there was not much things to cook with in the drawer. Overhall it was ok. Will go back.

Great Property

March 4, 2010

We were very pleased with this rental. The condo was clean, well decorated, spacious and comfortable. The property was in a gated community and we felt very safe. The beach was very unhospitable because of the huge rocks at the shore line at low tide.

Great trip! Can't wait to go back

December 18, 2009

This condo was so nice. It felt like home away from home! The community was great! We did arrive after all the holiday rush because we only saw maybe 5 other people the whole time! We always had the pools to ourselves and my daughter who was 7months old loved the kiddy pool area however the adult pool seemed to be warmer so we took her over there since there was no one else around! The beach was great, saw dolphins every day and even a star fish! The beach is made up from shells so kinda rough on the feet but not bad! The walk to the pool is a little ways but we like to exercise so didn't mind! My only complaint is that the pool resturant did close for the season when we got there! Would have liked to try it! Would diffently recommend going to st. Aug. for the day!! Overall can't wait to hopefully return! We have talked about making it a annual trip!

Perfect, Perfect, Perfect! Our family had the best time. The condo was immaculate and ocean view was spectacular. Stayed many places over the past 20 years, but this location exceeds all others.

Large unit

August 19, 2009

The location was great, with a lot to do in the immediate area. The lock-out unit allowed us to fit 10 people fairly comfortably. The only issue....with a unit that is designed for up to 12 people, there weren't enough basic supplies - i.e. towels, linens, blankets, pillows, toilet paper, etc. And because the unit was rented direct from an owner, the resort wouldn't provide additional supplies, so we had to purchase some things. There were some cleanliness issues too....the futon covers need to be washed and the MBR shower floor didn't look so good. All in all we had a lot of fun. Just minor details that could be improved upon.

The condo was comfortable and spacious but I am still trying to figure out why we paid an additional $150 cleaning fee when we were responsible for several cleaning activities before we vacated the premises. The pools and club house were located quite a way from the condos. The beach had numerous patches of coral. The elevator was extremely slow. And finally, we towed bikes down and were barely allowed to load and unload the bikes on the property. We did realize that trailers were not allowed on the property overnight, prior to our trip, and made arrangement to leave it with friends in Daytona. However, with the weather conditions on the night before we left, we thought that we could possibly load the bikes and leave them behind the trailer for a few hours until we left. We did find there was no consideration or compasion for their guests. I would not recommend this community and would recommend Flagler Beach, just 15 miles south, where visitors seemed more appreciated.
