Description of the Saint George vacation home rental

This Vacation home is located on Rackliff Island. The Island is connected to the mainland by a causeway and is located between Tennants Harbor and Spruce Head. The great thing about Rackliff Island is that you have the beauty of an island with the convenience of the mainland. Come and enjoy this wonderful vacation home. Watch the lobstermen pull there traps right in front of the house or just sit back relax and watch for an Osprey or Bald Eagle. This is truly a wonderful spot.
There are 4 bedrooms, 2 1/2 baths in the main house and 2 bedrooms, 1 bath in the Boathouse.

Area Information

We are located about 15 minutes from Rockland, 20 minutes from Camden or just 15 minutes from Port Clyde. There is plenty to do for anybody in the family. At night you can watch 3 lighthouse beacon flash right in front of the house. Also we have hot tub that you can relax in.

This home is more spectacular than what the website indicates. The boat house is really a condo, with a kitchen, bath and livingroom. Th house itself is really special and we were completely satisfied with our stay!

my husband and 2 young children (and dog) stayed here last summer and hope to return this year. The home and property are lovely and so tranquil. Yet rockland/camden are so close by you can easily pop up there for breakfast then spend the whole day at the property. we are very familiar with the maine coast. If you are new to exploring maine, this location is really ideal as it is centrally located to all sorts of coastal things to do. the beach in st george is fantastic for young children because the tide goes out very far, and we loved the craignair inn for a nice dinner with great food. have fun if you go!

A hidden piece of Heaven

Tranquil, breathtaking and peaceful are just a few words that come to mind. The home and property are beautiful and the views are magnificent. Coming home from a chilly sail on the Penobscot Bay to warm yourself in the hot tub or by the fire...truly sublime. Thank you to the Nolan family who were so very gracious, we didn't want to leave but we will definitely be returning!!

We stayed here for our annual trip with friends. The home owner and his wife were more than accommodating. The Home, The views and the bay were of the highest level. If you are looking for TOP Notch accommodations with beautiful sunsets and scenery I would highly recommend you look at this. We will be up to this property again in the future.
