Description of the Saint George's vacation villa rental
This beautiful Grenada villa, rental of which gives you the exclusive use, has two double bedrooms with en suite facilities, and a plunge pool. Our villa is situated within its own lush tropical garden, in an exclusive residential area, and boasts stunning views of the Caribbean Sea.
This privately owned Grenada villa is typical self-catering property which allows you the freedom to come and go when you please without the intrusion of staff but all the amenities to make you both comfortable and at home. Our housekeeper is there to take care of all the housework and will happily cook you a local dish if you wish. All you need to do is provide the provisions and she will do the cooking
The property also has internet connection and all the latest technology so that you are able to keep in touch with the folks back home.
We recommend that you hire a car during your stay on the island. We organise this for you with a leading car hire company on the island and the car can either be at the airport to meet you or at the house to greet you. A local license will be provided - costs of which are approximately US$12.00.
Car Hire rates vary during the season but the average costs are $US50 per day with a reduction on a bi/weekly booking.
You only need to organise your plane tickets to Grenada as we take care of all the other arrangements.
Nearby our property are three beautiful unspoilt sandy beaches and rocky coves, all of which are a short walking distance.
Prickly Bay, a mere ten minutes walk from the villa, has a variety of facilities including a mini-market and a marina with a reasonable bistro and bar area.
Good supermarkets are close by at Grande Anse, the famous white golden sands beach of the Caribbean. This area is a popular tourist location and you will find many of Grenada's leading hotels, bars, restaurants, banks and shopping malls; plus many other day and night-time attractions.
Grenada, the jewel of the Caribbean, is a holiday destination for the discerning traveller. It sits neatly amongst the popular islands of the Eastern Caribbean, at the Southern extremity of the Windward Islands, and is 12 degrees north of the Equator.
Most visitors to our island are lulled into thinking that the island, with its lush, vibrant vegetation, is not too distant from their idea of what paradise may be like. While the island does offer its more beautiful side to the casual observer, it has had a fiery beginning.
Most of the Windward Islands in the Caribbean share the same volcanic origin, and while several are long extinct, several of them still have active volcanoes within their territories. Grenada is no exception, and actually has one active undersea volcano, off the northern shore of the island, between the town of Sauteurs and the sister island of Carriacou.

The capital city is St. George's. Nestled into a hillside above a busy harbour, it is known as the jewel in the Caribbean. Alluring by day and sparkling by night, it has retained a certain charm and character now lost by many of its counterparts. Visit any of the hilltop restaurants or bars, and you will see for yourself how the city sparkles like a thousand diamonds at night. For the explorer there are many attractions. These include rum distilleries, sugar mills, plantations and areas of archaeological interest. There are also waterfalls, a tropical rain forest and a nature reserve, not to mention some of the finest unspoilt silver beaches in the Caribbean, which are usually fringed with sea grape and coconut trees to shield you from the tropical sun.

If you are looking for the all the frills of an all inclusive holiday with waiters at your feet; this is not for you. But if you seek a holiday where you choose when you want to socialise and when you want peace and quiet to just relax; then this is the perfect setting. Having been here 3 times now, 82 Park Drive offers the most wonderful combination of spacious colonial accomodation with the the benefits of house keeping service. You can do exactly as you please! No one to disturb you as you laze by the pool and read a book. You can take a very short drive to Grand Anse or one of the other beaches and snorkell or visit St Georges. Wonderful restaurants are close by and you can chose cajun, BBQ, Chinese or fine dining. Or you can choose to BBQ or cook at the villa, which has a well appointed kitchen with lots of kitchen appliances. You will never go hungry!
The owner of the property has made this truly a home from home; within minutes of arrival you will feel settled and at ease and throughout your stay Philomena the housekeeper will ensure you have 'no worries'. This is a most highly recommended treasure of the carribean!
