Best location, South Alamo Street in the King William National Historic District with restaurants of every description just down the street. Lovely Victorian homes and shady streets with museums and shops. All this is within a ten minute stroll of the downtown, by street or along the banks of the Riverwalk. Loads to explore and see or just curl up and relax.

Located in the heart of the King William Historic District, the Alamo Street Victorian Inn is literally surrounded by restaurants; Mexican, Carribean, Italian, French, Deli, CoffeeShops, and even a Micro-Brewery. Two museums and the San Antonio Art League are within a couple of blocks of our home.
The best feature is the location: as we are within walking distance of the Henry B. Gonzlaes Convention Center, the Alamodome, and the Riverwalk - shops, and hotels. Even better, is the trolley that stops outside as it let's guests choose between walking and riding to everything downtown (even the Public Library). The newest extention of the Riverwalk encourages walking, jogging and just feeding the birds and ducks. While near the downtown (and parks) the area is much more private and less crowded than the downtown. Everyone loves the offstreet parking (hotels charge about $15-20 per day) and for extended stays (longer than a week) the ability to do laundry right in the house.
With Wi-Fi, a guest computer and printer, fax and long distance telephone, guests find the house convenient and a spot that provides a calm relaxing atmosphere.
Children are welcome for whole house rentals.
