Description of the San Antonio vacation home rental

The house is located in the historic Lavaca neighborhood just south of downtown. It is two stories, 1800 sq. feet, with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. All rooms are fully furnished with queen beds and TVs in most. Cable television,wireless internet, and washer and dryer are available.

Perfect for families and groups. Proximity to convention center makes it ideal for groups attending business conferences.

Area Information

This lovely home away from home is located just south of downtown in the Lavaca neighborhood,the oldest residential neighborhood in San Antonio. From the front door, it is a short walk to the Alamo, Riverwalk, Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center, Alamodome, Rivercenter Mall, the Blue Star Arts complex and many other attractions.

Enjoyable experience

We enjoyed our 4 days at our Barrera street home. Location is convenient. You may walk to shops and restaurants and take trolley to other locations. The home is very comfortable and interesting. The owners are awesome. They are quick to respond and they have a very well stocked kitchen. They even shop for a few perishables for you so you do not have to run to the grocery first thing.

Excellent Home/ Great Owners!

This was an amazing home located just blocks from downtown and in a truly beautiful neighborhood. 4 BR and 2 baths were great - big living room - nice deck and porch. We really loved the neighborhood cats - especially the male leader we nicknamed "Mr. Butters" - he ended up being our mascot and a welcoming prescence whenever we were outside or coming back to the house. Tommy and Stacy were great to work with - they actually met us and showed us the home and even had stocked dry goods, milk, bread, and fruit for us. Later in the week when we had a question they were amazingly prompt and helped us out of a jamb. We are already planning a return visit! Cant say enough - Great Home - Awesome Owners - Wonderful Location!

This house is well cared for and the inn keeper was very responsive. Pros include the restaurants and entertainment within walking distance, well cared for historic house, nice responsive inn keeper, value, well decorated, great vibe, large trees surrounding the house, nice patio/porch for relaxing. Cons included only 2 bathrooms for the entire house with one of those attached to the master. Kitchen was a bit small for the size of the house. Over all this house is a great place to consider for a stay in San Antonio.
