My husband and I have been visiting San Diego during the Summer for the past 35 years and have stayed at many different places within the city. The condo is beautifully furnished with all of the comforts of home. It is located in the Gas Lamp Quarter and just blocks away from Petco stadium. It is near Seaport Village and many restaurants. We did have one small problem but it was taken care of within 24 hours. Chris and his brother are the best landlords and we are looking forward to another visit in the near future.

Wonderful Spot for 2

The 2 of us stayed Feb 1 to Mar 15, 2012 and couldn't have been more pleased with the comfortable accommodations. There was WIFI, a wireless printer available, nice large flat screen TV, well-equipped kitchen with full fridge and gas stove. Chris and his brother were installing another TV in the bedroom as we departed. Location is very convenient to both trolleys and buses, food store, drug store, movies, restaurants, etc. We used public transportation the whole time ($18.00 for a senior 30 day pass, plus $2.00 for the pass itself). No one else could be an overnight visitor as living room couch curves and is not a sleeper. Just what we wanted to escape the east coast winter cold.
Owner's reply:
Should a guest choose to rent a car during their stay, we also provide a secure and assigned parking space in an underground garage...included with the rental at no extra charge and 7/24 access privileges!

My wife and I stayed in this condo for the month of January, 2012. We were pleased to find that everything was exactly as advertised on this web site. We flew in to San Diego from Utah, and we found that between trolley, bus and train we had no need for a car. A month of 70 degree temperatures didn't hurt. It was a lovely vacation!

A Great Place to Stay in San Diego

The unit was nicely furnished and located in the gaslamp area convenient to everything. A short walk to the harbor and Seaport Village, a short walk to PETCO park for major league baseball, a monthly pass on their transit system ($43 for seniors) enabled you to travel on the Coaster train from Oceanside (with connectiions to the Los Angeles metrolink system) to the Mexican border and on all their buses and trolleys so a car was not necessary. The gaslamp area is very lively with lots of restaurants, shopping and movies. It is a short trolley/bus ride to Balboa Park with many museums and concerts. Public transportation is also available to LaJolla, Mission Valley and several casinos. The weather in August was wonderful, temperatures in the 70's with llight breezes. My wife and I both agreed this had been our best vacation ever!

I absolutely loved my stay at Chris’ Gaslamp Condo. I stayed in the Condo for 2 months (Jan/Feb 2011) and found Chris to be very welcoming, organized and informative. The Condo is in prime position surrounded by shops, ralphs/cvs, cafes, bars and nightclubs. Yet, at the same time sheltered from the noise of 5th avenue, very private and secure. A lot of thought has gone into the interior and the facilities were wonderful. It had absolutely everything I needed and more! Would highly recommend this Condo to everyone! Chris was very friendly, accommodating and truly had a wonderful stay and hope to be back in the future!

What a great place to stay! Plus, a great host/owner. ALL of the details are covered in the condo, which really made a difference compared to other places. For example: Laundry detergent, cleaning supplies, maps, kitchen tools and appliances provided, and bathroom amenities too (towels, etc). Truly, it is in a great location, and was a pleasure to have stayed here. Would certainly come back to rent again!

I recently spent 7 weeks at Chris' apartment, and in all honesty I was disappointed I had to leave. This place has been my best experience in Gaslamp to date. Not only was the apartment comfortable, clean and fully stocked, but Chris is a landlord people only dream about. Can't wait to stay there again, because it's a guaranteed good time. we stayed here for the month of Feb, the condo was clean comfortable is in a great location hundreds of restaurants around the corner very close to the harbour etc. Chris and his brother Michael where very welcoming and so we shall be retuning for sure next time and fir two months.

The location of the unit is very convenient and the owner is very nice. I think the condo looks just as nice (or nicer) as the pictures and I couldn't have really asked for more. The building itself is very quiet, I never heard anyone else walking/tv/etc while I was in the unit and coming from apartments in Chicago that is extremely rare. Rentals like these represent the exact reason of why I choose them over hotels.

I stayed a month. I loved living in the middle of all the excitement. The apartment is Fabulous! Location.. can't really be beat... Chris was very helpful with everything that came up, but there were no real problems. I would definitely stay again if I was looking for something in that neighborhood.

I stayed at this condo for a year and I loved it. The location is unbeatable- close to everything you'd want in downtown (restaurants, shopping, Petco park, and bars/clubs) at the same time, it's also very safe and quiet. The condo itself is bright, has a great layout, and is very nicely decorated. It has everything you would need and is very high tech (has ipod docking station and wireless printer). The owners are very friendly and one of the best lanlords I've ever had! I would highly recommend this to anyone visiting San Diego- I was already living in San Diego but looking for a furnished condo for a short time until I found something more long term, but I ended up enjoying the condo so much that I extended my to one year!!

This condo is beautiful! The owner is very pleasant to work with and very accommodating. The condo is very clean and welcoming and in a great location. Everything is within walking distance! Recently stayed at this great condo rental for 6 days for a vacation. Perfect location--right at the heart of Gaslamp district where the clubs and restaurants are. Perfect condo-- complete amenities as stated in website including washer/dryer, refrigerator with free refreshments. Very clean condo with tasteful and contemporary decor. Convenient parking garage in the basement with access via elevator from the building. Safe location. Professional and clear communications with owner. All in all, the condo rental surpassed my expectations in every aspect and detail and would not hesitate to highly recommend it to anyone who visits San Diego.

we stayed in the condo for 4 nights, very clean 5 stars rating condo in the middle of everything. Decor is flawless very attractive kichen, bedroom, bathroom. All amenities at the touch of your hand. very comfortable. close to our convention center and gas lamp restaurants, definitly will be back and would recommend it to everyone in san diego. better than any hotel suite, guaranteed.

My wife and I have been going to San Diego for our anniversay for many years and have stayed at many hotels. By far this condo is superior in every way possible. Location is prime and you really feel like a local coming to and from this condo. Also it's only about a block from Petco stadium for all you baseball fans!!! We'll definitely be renting this condo in the future.

My wife and I recently spent a week in San Diego and stayed in this condo in the middle of the Gaslamp District. We had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed this rental property. Everything was clean and in working order. Grocery shopping, access to shops, mass transit and ultimately the whole city was just great. The unit is quiet with all the amenities you would expect and yet we were in the middle of this district with all its energy and fun. We will definitely go back.

My wife and I just returned from a week long vacation to SD where we stayed at this wonderful condo in the Gaslamp. The location is perfect, central to all that downtown has to offer. The accomodations are sharp, clean, and very comfortable. A far better value than any hotel at any price range. This was a much needed break from the cold, damp east coast.

My wife and I recently attended a business conference in San Diego. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this well equipped condo in the middle of the Gaslamp district only a few blocks to the convention center. I have already recommended this condo to friends planning a trip to San Diego. With the finest San Diego restaurants a short walk, easy access to the train you have no need for a car while visiting (although I understand a garage is available). Cable television, wireless networking with a printer allows you to conduct business with ease. You will not be disappointed. I would rate this a 9 on a 10 scale at these prices.

"Come for the Convention..."

I stayed in this apartment for a four-day meeting at the Convention Center. It's a very lovely apartment in a prime downtown location. The bath is large, towels are soft, and it's all very clean and private. The kitchen is well equipped for cooking, if for whatever reason you won't go to one of the many restaurants of the Gaslamp District; a big supermarket is just a few blocks away. The owners are very friendly and professional: e-mail and phone conversations were informative; rental rules fair and transparent, equipment accompanied by instructions, and much helpful information on the neighborhood. Importantly, internet connection was flawless; but I never got around to using two other attractions - the TV and the cortyard pool. My colleagues and friends who chose more conventional arrangements at hotels were all quite jealous, and are sure to compete for this rental next time they are in San Diego.

We enjoyed our stay at Chris’s GasLamp condo. The condo unit is nicely decorated and has all the comforts of home; much more to offer then your standard hotel room in the area; The condo unit is located close to Petco park with plenty of restaurants to choose from in the Gaslamp district. Also great for business purposes; wireless internet and availability of a printer. We plan to use the condo unit again.
