Spectacular Location & Views, Comfortable Condo

We had a very good week at this condo, especially enjoying the views over the sea and the proximity to the beach and all the restaurants in Pacific Beach. The condo itself was comfortable, with large bedrooms and a nice open feel. The place is a bit dated, especially the bathrooms, which needed some work. Pros: Views - High up over Pacific Beach with spectacular views from the living room and master bedroom. Location - Stairs to the beach are steps from the front door. Loads of restaurants and stores within easy walking distance. From the condo, it is an easy drive to Sea World and the bay. Size - It isn't massive, but each of the rooms is large and the large windows make it feel larger. Comfort - The seating in the living room was comfortable, the dining table was large and convenient to the kitchen, beds were very good. Overall, just a very comfortable place. Parking - The underground parking felt very secure and was easy to get in and out of. Cons: Bathrooms - Dated decor, cracked tiles, old-and-difficult faucets (good water pressure and temp control, however). Pool temperature - The pool is nestled into the inside corner of the building's L and is shaded on the South and West. This means no sun for most of the year, and the water temp wasn't warm enough to make up for it. Kitchen outfitting - Dull knives and extremely cheap utensils and other items. Overall, we were very happy. The "cons" weren't insignificant, but for the price, you expect some. One final note; there is interenet, but no wireless. We brought our own wifi router (Apple Express is tiny) so that we could use our devices un-tethered.

I thought the location was excellent with a great view, next best thing to being oceanfront. It was great proximity to San Diego. After being all day in the city it was nice to go a short distance to "home". For a family of five, it suited us fine. Problems: (1) A/C didn't seem to be working, didn't cool the place (2) Master shower didn't drain well (3) Oven was missing a control dial

We rented unit 211. June haze was in san diego our entire week, but nearly everything else was excellent. We saw Doliphins most days, complex was perfect for a family. You can't find a complex more directly on the beach. We went in to San Diego 5 of our 7 days, but could have easily spent more time just hanging out at the beach had the wather been warmer any our 2 year old not hate the sand. Who ever heard of the 2 year old who hated the sand. The drive into San Diego is lovely and only 15 minutes. In unit 211 oven does not work propery and neither does the TV remote. All livable problems.
