Description of the San Diego vacation cottage rental

Our Ocean Beach Cottage is located one block from the beach and two blocks from the Ocean Beach Pier and the lively main street of Newport Avenue. Sit on the deck and watch the waves - cannot get better than that! Fall asleep to the sound of the waves...

Lovingly restored cute & charming 1930's Beach Cottage was completely renovated in 2008, offer all the comforts of a 'home away from home'. Beautifully designed, true to the beach cottage style, bright & airy, with wood and tile floors, fully equipped kitchens, raised ceilings with fans, front & back private decks, amidst a lush garden. The Orca Cottage charmingly parades original double-hung windows and a gorgeous claw foot tub. An on-site laundry facility and a place to safely store your surfboards are provided.

Off-street reserved parking (a rare commodity in these parts) is provided.

Our minimum required stay is 3 nights. During July - August the minimum stay is 7 nights, Saturday to Saturday.

Area Information

Ocean Beach is a small beach town without all of the usual bells and whistles typical of most popular beach towns. It's one of the few places left in San Diego where the shops are locally owned and managed. There is a lot to be said for this funky little beach town, with its collection of antique stores, restaurants, coffee houses, bike & surf shops, musicians, activists, & artists. Located only 7 miles from San Diego Downtown and 2 miles from Sea World it offers easy access to other San Diego attractions.

relaxation vacation

We really enjoyed this cute cottage. My boys loved being steps from the beach and my husband and I enjoyed the fact we could cook or go for a short walk to eat. He and I really enjoyed the quiet relaxation and the boys loved the tide pools. Yasmin made our first rental experience wonderful and we can't wait to rent again.

We were so pleased with Orca Cottage. My husband and I were traveling with our daughter & 2-year-old grandson, and the cottage was perfect for us! The beds are so comfortable, and the deck was a wonderful place to enjoy the ocean breeze and a drink. The location of the cottage is perfect, with the beach a block away, and shops & restaurants nearby. The cottage is charming, and when we needed extra sheets for our grandson's bed, they were delivered in a timely fashion. having our own parking space was an added bonus, since the town filled up on the weekend, and parking is scarce.

We stayed at the Orca cottage for a week. When we arrived, the grounds were all newly landscaped and beautiful. The inside was inviting and clean with every amenity we needed. Conveniently located and comfortable. Would recommend this to anyone.
