The house has 3 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, 2 sunrooms, 1 formal dinning room, 1 huge living room, fully equipped kitchen, a sunny back yard, a laundry space, and a home office with a tatami room for playing Go, having tea, or studying. Total about 2500 square feet. The house has original period gumwood and built-in furniture.
We have an Internet (wireless) connection, telephone, data projector with 10 foot movie screen, DVD player with surround-sound speakers, electric piano, fire place, professional stove with grill for BBQ or grilled fish, huge collection of English/Japanese/Chinese books, a shin-kaya Go-ban in the tatami room, reading corners all around the house, vegetable boxes in the back yard with Shiso plants, and nice and helpful neighbors.
6 to 8 people can stay in comfort.
This is a single house, not a flat, no worry about kids’ making noise.
Numerous summer camps (100+), ballet/arts classes for kids in San Francisco are available. Many still have rooms for this summer. Kids can learn many different subjects, make American friends, get used to native spoken English, and have fun. We can help with your arrangements if interested.
If staying for 2 weeks or more, weekly maid service is included in the cost: our house maid will come in to clean the house and do laundry once a week. It could include cooking a Chinese meal but it needs to be pre-arranged.
Location: Central Richmond district in San Francisco.
Summer weather: Often cool. Sometimes the house is surrounded by the famous San Francisco fog.
Easy access to public transportation: Busses #5, #31, #38, #2, #1, #29 all only short walks away.
Communication: We speak English/Japanese/Chinese and can be easily contacted by phone or email for anything including local tips. A list of relatives/friends/neighbors/utility services will be provided for your convenience. Our warm, wonderful neighbors are keeping an eye out and available for info and assistance as needed.
