Description of the San Francisco vacation home rental

THE HOME

Fully furnished home in the wonderful Marina District of San Francisco; walk to the Palace of Fine Arts, Crissy Field and/or the Golden Gate Bridge. Cross streets are Scott and Jefferson. Just a wonderful location to watch the people of the City or the boats in the harbor. You can see the sites of the City by public transit or take a walk and see the fog roll into the bay. The lower unit of my home is located 1 short block to the bay/Marina Green/Yacht Harbor, 3 blocks to the Palace of Fine Arts. The Marina district is a very desirable neighborhood in San Francisco. This is the perfect location for a long or short holiday.

One bedroom with a king size bed, living room (with a pull out couch), fully upgraded kitchen with all new appliances purchased in 2009, bathroom, wash/drier unit in the garage. The property is actually two separate units. The lower unit is single story no steps. The downstairs unit is rented as a vacation rental by owner. The upstairs unit is rented full time and is not available.

Both the upstairs and downstairs units have separate front doors and separate locks.

Area Information

The Marina District is the heart of the bustling Chestnut street. This 1927 house is a classic Marina-style home with an apartment on the first level. Sunny weekend days are truly dreamy in the Marina, especially down by the water. As far as Chestnut and Union are concerned, just follow this motto: Any day is a good day for shopping; any night, a good night for dining. As you sleep at night you will overhear the sounds of a wonderful San Francisco fog horn.

Just a one block walk to the bus stop for Fisherman’s Wharf, Chinatown, Union Square and the Financial District.

The home does not have indoor parking street parking only.

Lodging tax: 15% required tax
Deposits: A damage/reservation deposit of $300 is required. This must be received within seven (7) days of booking the reservation. The deposit automatically converts to a security/damage deposit upon arrival. The deposit is NOT applied toward rent; however, it is fully refundable within (14) days of departure, provided the following provisions of the agreement are met.
Payment Options: Cashier's Check, Money Order, PayPal, Personal Check
Other Fees: CLEANING FEE – One-time cleaning fee of $80.00. Cleaning supplies in the kitchen and bathroom are all general purpose. NO DAILY MAID SERVICE While linens and bath towels are included in the unit, daily maid service is not included in the rental rate. I do not permit towels or linens to be taken from the units.

Great location for the America's Cup race right next to the yatch club. Walk to the Golden Gate Bridge for the Palace of Fine Arts. I also have wireless internet and free calling within the United States.

I was not able to rent this property, but the booking experience with the owner was exceptional. The courtesy, professionalism, and service in our communications was impressive and confidence inducing. I am eager to rent at this property in the future.

That is very nice of you to say that. I try to answer all e-mails that day. I have had fraud on my property with people who have copied my photos and listed my property as theirs on Craigslist so never rent from Craigslist, and I have reported the problem many times and Craigslist does nothing about the problem. The apartment was very close to perfect for us, a couple with a teenaged son. Quiet area, very nice location. The apartment was very well equipped, the best we've seen yet, when it comes to the kitchen, bedding, etc. The owner is very attentive and responsive. We would probably go straight to this property on our next visit to San Francisco, without looking further.

Everything the advert says is true and it was amazing clean and well prepared for us. Marina District is a particularly beautiful part of San Francisco to stay, we walked to the beach, the bridge, palace of fine arts, Fort Mason and Fishermans Wharf and we ate everyday at some stage on Chestnut Street which was a mere stroll away.. fab eateries.. don't hesitate to book.
