The open floor plan, skylights, and southern exposure make this very comfortable modern home light and airy. The large master suite boasts a jetted tub and private access to the west facing deck.
Step out on the LARGE deck and enjoy your morning coffee. With a separate full bath and queen bed in the guest room, this home is perfect for two couples. But a sleeping sofa in the living room will provide for a larger group.
On your visit to our home on BEAUTIFUL ORCAS ISLAND you can enjoy Directv on our two new High Definition TV's. We also have a well stocked game closet and selection of DVDs as well as an I-Pod Dock for your listening pleasure.
HIGH SPEED INTERNET with a WiFi router makes it possible for our guests to access the internet from the comfort of our home or even from the relaxing deck.
PET FRIENDLY!! Even your family pet will feel welcome! The deck leads to a fenced in area for your dog to have some off leash freedom. Rosario Heights is open to visits for one or two dogs.
With our home located on a quiet private road, this rural area and close proximity to the park often has visits from local deer.
Area Information
Not a half mile is the trail that circles Cascade Lake. Rosario Heights is a wonderful place for a hiker to hang his or her hat. Walk out the door for the five mile circuit around Cascade Lake in Moran State Park. Enjoy a swimming beach not 2 miles away.
Nearby several trail heads are marked. These silvan paths lead to the trail that circles Cascade Lake in Moran State Park. Some of the parks trails are available to cyclists.
You can also hike or drive down the hill to Rosario Resort to find a waterfront beach near Cascade Marina, again not 2 miles from Rosario Heights.
A World Class Skate Park for Skate Boarders and Roller Skaters alike. Moped Rentals (single and double seat) to explore the beauty of this incredible place.

My husband and I, along with our labradoodle, enjoyed a wonderful and relaxing 4 nights over Memorial Day weekend. The house was beautifully furnished with a lovely master bed/bath and fantastic kitchen. The weather was good for most of our time there (3 of 4 days were sunny and in the low 60s) and we were able to enjoy a couple of meals on the deck, where we made excellent use of the grill. Our dog loved playing with her bouncy ball on the wood floors and sprawling out on the rug in the main living area. We also appreciated how much it felt like home and at night or when the weather wasn't ideal to be outside, we had several board games and movies at our disposal. What we loved most about the rental was its location. For most of our activities (hiking at Moran State Park and Obstruction Pass State Park, viewing the sunset from Mt. Constitution, strolling around Eastsound and enjoying tacos at Tee Jay's, kayaking, and visiting the art gallery at Olga's Cafe), the house was in an ideal location. We would recommend this rental to couples who want plenty of space to relax or families who want to be close to the state park but maintain all the comforts of home, and of course, those who love to travel with their dogs.

My husband and I along with our two small dogs stayed here for two nights and enjoyed every moment. Beautiful view, perfectly fenced yard, comfortable furnishing. It was easy to get into Eastsound for dinner and quick up to Mt. Constitution for a hike. I would love to stay here again!

Just wanted to tell you how much we enjoyed staying in your lovely home on Orcas Island. The quiet and peaceful atmosphere is very healing. The home itself is everything you could every want or need. Clean, well equipped, and beautiful at the same time. It was a little bit rainy while we were there so we stayed in a lot and really enjoyed everything about the place. Loved the view, watching the deer, and listening to the quiet, and viewing the stars at night. The beds are so comfortable. It's very spacious and light. Overall we had a wonderful time and hope to come back again and again.

My family and I had a wonderful time; it was better than we expected so peaceful and cozy. The home was just right for the 4 of us and our dog. The view from the deck is amazing even though it might be a little bit blocked by some trees but none the less great. All the rooms had their own climate setting, we had such a nice weather that we hardly used the heat. The house is well stocked with basic items you might need, beds were so comfy had no problems sleeping even though back pain is an issue. Everything is so close by, Moran state park is just a few minutes away with lots of trails and nature walks. The house was very clean and neat the owners provided a binder with all sorts of helpful information while you stay there. We are so pleased with how easy it was to set up the arrangement and the owners responded to our emails immediately. Overall we are extremely happy we found a little piece of heaven on earth! My family (2 adults, 9-year-old, and dog) spent 4 very happy days here in late December. For us, the house was perfect! The gorgeous view sets the tone - but in addition, a wonderful layout, generously-stocked kitchen, enclosed dog run, and fantastic selection of movies, puzzles etc made us all feel welcome, and enabled us to fully relax and recharge. The proximity to Moran State Park is also fantastic! We enjoyed several spectacular hikes, easily accessible from the house. The owners were wonderful to deal with, even following through to locate and return a small and seemingly-insignificant item we had left. The house is perfectly clean and well-maintained. Overall, this place is a gem!

This home was absolutely beautiful and a joy to stay at. Zero problems, stocked with every little detail possible, close to Moran State Park and Eastsound...we loved it! The area for the dogs was great to have, and when we forgot shampoo we found it provided in a cabinet with a nice little note. The owners have thought have thought of everything with this place....highly recommended!

Our stay in this home was comfortable, relaxing, and quiet - exactly what we had been looking for. The home is beautiful and very clean, with a view of the sound that's out of this world. Several deer and a bald eagle highlighted our visits to the yard and deck, and we loved watching the ferries, sailboats, and water planes come and go in the distance. The owners are extremely nice, and even granted us a special request that made our stay an even better experience. I would recommend a getaway to this home to anyone!

First off I have to agree with all the reviews that state "the pictures do not do this home justice". My wife and I rented this home with my brother and his wife for just a weekend get away. We were all so pleasantly surprised how spacious, cozy and beautiful this home is. The home has wi-fi, phone, and satellite tv, all amenities we chose not to use, but rather enjoy the quiet and the expansive views. Our Chow Chow Milo LOVED sitting on the porch and taking in the sounds of the wildlife and the feeling the cool breeze. The owners are completely down to earth and quite possibly the easiest and kindest I have dealt with in the many years of vacation rentals. I HIGHLY recommend taking advantage of this truly hidden gem on Orcas Island.

My husband and I rented this property with another couple and spent the Thanksgiving holiday there. It was an amazing home and I would recommend it to anyone. The photos of the home show it off well, although I must say that the views and the property are even more beautiful in person. We arrived there in the dark on Thursday evening so we were unsure what to expect in the morning, and woke up to a gorgeous sunrise over East Sound. Very beautiful. We had two dogs with us - a border collie and a German Shepherd - and they loved the home as well. The dog run is great if you have dogs and there are plenty of dog friendly hikes all over the island. We enjoyed exploring Moran State Park, which is practically right next door to this home, and the Turtleback Mountain trails. The home was very clean and had all the amenities you could need. Trust me....we made Thanksgiving dinner here and the kitchen is very well stocked! The little town of East Sound is close and had some nice restaurants and shops. We had the most wonderful time and would definitely consider renting this home again. Thank you for a great Thanksgiving vacation!!!!

This house is wonderful! The house does not come off as a rental house. It comes across as a home lived in by friends who have let you use their home for a week. The kitchen is well stocked with just about anything you could possibly want in order to cook. We typically ate two meals a day at "home" and never needed anything in order to cook that wasn't in the kitchen. The house is nicely furnished, and it's stocked with books, movies, and games. The deck overlooking East Sound has a table and chairs and a gas grill. The view is gorgeous (as is witnessed by the number of pictures I have of ferries crossing East Sound in the sun, fog, rain, and all times of day)! The master suite has a wonderful whirlpool-style tub that easily fits two people. This was a wonderful way to finish a day of hiking and kayaking. The house is ideal for dogs. Out the side door, down a flight of stairs, and they're in a side yard that is fully fenced. There are even spare dog dishes in case you forgot to bring yours. The house is located just up the road from the Rosario Beach Resort, about a mile from the entrance to Moran State Park, and approximately a mile from hikes around Cascade Lake. I highly recommend staying in this house for a vacation, and I look forward to staying there again.

My wife and I have been planning to go to the San Juans for the longest time. Finally we went and it was incredible. The views are fantastic. This home was so well decorated, very warm and friendly. My kids couldn't believe the deer would come right up to the front door to eat! Very clean and comfortable inside. The island even in Feb. offered hikes, sightseeing, but overall just a great place to relax and unwind. And if we wanted to stay connected to the "outside world" there was always high speed WIFI and Directv.

My husband and I decided to take a small break from the hectic Christmas holidays with a trip to Orcas Island with our furkids. The home and view were absolutly lovely, breathtaking really. We happened to arrive during a very snowy time for the Pacific Northwest and the beauty of the homes' surroundings were awesome. I was walking past the front door one evening and there standing on the front walkway was Bambi! My husband hand fed her two apples, one banana, two granola bars, and a half pack of wheat crackers. Boy was she hungry! Good Times!

We had such a great time at this house. We were traveling as 2 families and this house was perfect. The view was amazing and the house was perfectly set up. We were traveling with two small children, 7 months and 14 months old, so we needed a comfortable house to hang out in when they were napping and off to their early bedtimes. There were games and toys in on of the bedrooms for entertainment, which was great because we forgot to bring them. We were close to a great trail and hiked around the lake. The town was only about 15 minutes away and had lots of great little shops. The owner was very friendly and even provided us with a great list of shops, entertainment and restaurants. We just got home this evening from Orcas but I wanted to take a minute to send a very sincere thank you for allowing us to rent your house on Orcas Island. WOW - what beautiful home - it is truly a 5 star home in every aspect - from the outstanding detail to attention - to the large and functional rooms to the amazing view. We totally enjoyed our stay and had a great and very relaxing time. Your home is nicer than most 5 star hotels and was warm and inviting. You have done a great job in decorating and giving it that very warm - "homey" feel. We were very fortunate to have nice sunny weather for our stay and enjoyed touring the island. Our dogs loved the great dog run - what a nice way to have it enclosed and attached to the deck. I took them on two large walks every day and they just loved the island. We could not have been more thrilled when we walked in the front door. The home is beautiful and extremely comfortable. You can't begin to prepare yourself for the amazing view that awaits you from the living room, dining room and back deck. We just loved hanging out in the home, playing games & watching movies (it was spring break & the weather was cool & overcast but that didn't deter us one bit....we still loved it!) Everything you could possibly need was there....games, movies, books, soft linens, dishes, cookware. Truly, what a wonderful place to spend a vacation. We can't wait to come back!
