Description of the San Juan vacation condo rental
The sliding doors to the balcony open completely so the beach becomes part of your living area.The bedroom window faces the ocean, so at night, with the windows open,you'll feel like you are lying on the beach, and the sound of the waves will lull you to sleep.
The Condo is in Condado, on the beach, next to the Marriot. If you are not familiar with Condado Beach area, it is perhaps the most popular, and well maintained, beach in Puerto Rico. The condo " Stella Maris" is on the beach, facing the ocean, and 4 floors up (the building has an elevator). The Living room has very large sliding doors that open onto the balcony, which overlooks the beach. The bedroom has a Queen sized bed. The living room sofa opens to a full sized bed as well, so the condo can accommodate 4 adults. The condo comes furnished with all linens, towels, kitchen equipment, stereo, CD player, tape deck, flat screen cable TV, Ipod/Iphone plug in portcable, air conditioner, and many other amenities. All you need to bring are your clothing and music.
The building is very secure. The property is fully enclosed and gated. A key is required to enter the compound as well as the lobby. The elevator also is keyed which will only open to your specific floor. There is a Laundry room on the ground floor of the building with coin operated washers and dryers (cost is $ per load). Your lobby key opens the Laundry room.
The Condado area is the main tourist area of San Juan and home to many casinos, fine restaurants, grocery stores, tourist shops, all within walking distance, and a 10 minute drive to Old San Juan and close to the highways that will get you to the rest of Puerto Rico. There is a fitness center, and a Cyber Cafe, about a block away. Taxis
and buses are always available as the "main drag" is a half block away.
The Marriot Hotel is right next door and has a great Casino, several excellent restaurants, with dining on the beach, and live music every night. Most of the island excursions ( Parasailing, snorkeling, Horseback riding etc.)can be arranged through them with the operators picking you up from the Hotel lobby. Although being so close to such a busy area, the condo is very quiet, except of course for the constant sound of the waves crashing on the beach below.

So Homey!

Fred was awesome! His place has everythingl you need for your stay. He was very helpful when we asked about parking, and whether or not to get a car. You really don't need a car when you stay here because it is in a perfect location, walking distance to restaurants and shops. Taxis are available every morning when you walk outside the condo and you can take a taxi to Old San Juan for $15. Unfortunately, we needed to rent a car because we were in Puertico for a wedding! Had we not gone for a wedding we would have saved us money. If you park on the yellow lines, you can get a ticket... we didn't know that and we parked there for two days and on the second day we got a ticket. Marriott parking is $18 a day. Our ticket was $75! People park on the yellow parking at night and they don't get tickets, they must have needed to meet their quotas that day. Fred provides beach towels, towels for the condo, blankets, everything! There is also a washer & dryer on site and it was very helpful for us. We enjoyed staying here very much, especially hearing the waves crashing at night while you sleep. We can't wait to go to Puertico again! We will definitely be staying here again!

The condo, although reflective of the 70s, was what we were lead to believe. The proximity to the ocean without any sounds apart from the soothing, repetitive sounds of th crashing Atlantic waves along with the required level of home comforts makes us already feel nostalgic upon our return to the cold, damp weather of England. We also met the very helpful owner upon our arrival. Nothing about the advert left us feeling disappointed.

We stayed at 1 Condado Condado Beach, PR . Both the owner, Fred P, and maintenance man, Jorge where friendly and concerned that we were satisfied while we stayed at the condo. The condo was clean and very acceptable for us. My only regret was parking a car in the area . We were surprised that we never needed the air conditioner on since there was always a sea breeze flowing though the condo both day and night, It was a beautiful vacation.

The condo was as specified. Place was clean and was within walking distant to all stores and restaurants. As the location view indicated this condo is right on the beach. Can't get any closer. Beautiful sounds of the waves crashing every day. Everything there to spend days on the beach, from towels to chairs. For those that like cooking on vacation everything is available. Communications with Fred, prior and while there were excellent. Deposit was mailed as specified in his terms. I would rent this condo #3a again. Thanks Fred.

Balcony over Beatiful Beach

The condo was well maintained and supplied. The location was great with a balcony overlooking one of the nicest beaches in PR. The condo was convenient to restaurants and stores. The Marriott next door provided nightly entertainment as well as information concerning activities on the island. Taxi and bus service was within a block of the condo.

A Great Apartment in a Great Location

This apartment is ideal for those who want to vacation on the Condado in San Juan. It is a spacious one-bedroom right on the beach with a lovely balcony. I have rented several apartments in this building over many years and I can say that 3A has become my favorite. The owner is friendly and accommodating and the location cannot be beat.

I cannot come up with enough adjectives to describe our stay. Right from the start with booking the time that we wanted to receiving the keys and walking through the doors was fantastic! The condo felt like home right from the start and the freedom that you can decide to cook or not was great. The condo is in the heart of the Condado area and walking down Ashford is safe and like Fred said,use your head. LOVE LOVE the view right from the living area and bedroom. No need for AC...there is a constant breeze and the sound of the ocean will lull you to sleep in no time. I LOVED STAYING HERE and at 1/2 the price of a hotel ROOM! what you get is 4 1/2 rooms to wander. I give it 5
