Description of the San Leandro vacation home rental

This is the upstairs of a 2-story house. It has it's own entrance and is totally private. It is a lovely sunny space with 2 bedrooms (one queen/one double)and a futon couch in the living room. There is also a double inflatable mattress available. The kitchen is fully equipped and looks out over the back yard which is available for cook-outs and just relaxing. The house is one mile from BART (rapid transit system), one-half hour from San Francisco, one hour from Muir Woods, 4 hours from Yosemite, and 4 hours from Lake Tahoe. The house is in a quiet, friendly neighbor and there is plenty of well-lighted on-street parking.

Area Description

The house is in a nice, quiet neighborhood, and easily accessible from both freeways. The downtown area is less than a mile away for shopping and dining, and a nice coffee house and restaurant are only a few blocks away. Hiking trails, a reservoir and marina, and a golf course are within a couple of miles.

Lovely character home, October 26, 2009

My husband and I spent a wonderful week's vacation here. The house is charming and light, and contains everything we needed. It's about a mile to the rapid transit station(BART) to go into S.F., which we did on several days, and close to shops and restaurants(even Costco). We were a little apprehensive about the area beforehand, however the house is in a residential/family area, and we always felt very safe.The owner went out of her way to help us with a couple of difficulties, and was most pleasant and friendly. It made our trip so much more enjoyable, being able to come 'home' every evening and we would not hesitate to stay here again :)

My husband and I came to work for a week and needed a place where we could retreat and recover in the evenings. The place is spacious, had every amenity we needed, and the garden provided great smells, sights and serenity. The neighborhood and the owner are very sweet and community=oriented. We are definitely coming back.
