Description of the San Marcos vacation guesthouse rental

custom built home opens up with vaulted ceilings, dimmer lights, nice comfortable furniture, surrounded with soft pastel walls and tasteful art deco to give you a warm welcoming at-home feel away from home.
Pleasantly inviting, this 2b/2/b is nestled on 1 acre of woods off a private drive on the healing crystal clear San Marcos river shaded with majestic cypress trees.
On the banks of the river you can have a picnic,BBQ, have a campfire, try out the natural healing clay similiar to those you have at a spa, do some star gazing, or just relax in the peaceful surroundings. There are a couple of hammocks to enhance your relaxation along with a canoe and several tubes for tubing and a boogie board for floating down the rapids.
The river offers fishing, swimming, canoeing, kayaking and other water sports. This place resembles a resort that is fun, relaxing and affordable where many guests return yearly for their vacation.

Martindale is a small country town only 7 miles from San Marcos, 40 miles from Austin or San Antonio.

Nice lodging. Beautiful scenery. Very quiet. Good price. We will go there again. Closeness to the river and the seclusion made it really special. Lodging was not as clean as I would have preferred, but I own a cleaning company. I'm sure it would be pleasing for most people.All in all this is a very nice place.Marilisa and Tanner were very helpful.

It's a very quiet neighborhood. River was great for swimming with a secluded feeling and very private. Even on Saturday we only saw three groups of tubers. It's a great place if you have small children. The house is very convenient to San Marcos and area attractions and the owners were easy to work with.

This place was a wonderful place to stay, get away and unwind. I took my 3 nephews, all under the age of 9 and we had a blast. The house was clean and cosy and the river was breath taking.
