Description of the San Miguel de Allende vacation home rental
This home is available Jan, Feb, and March 2008. It is the high season in San Miguel de Allende and the town is full of exciting activities. This house is cosy and charming with hillside views and an outdoor patio and two terraces. A full dine in kitchen with new stove, frig and microwave. The comfortable living room includes DVD and Video player, TV with Cable (PBS and HBO packages); also High speed internet. The home is filled with mexican charm, and only a half hour walk or a ten minute bus ride to the center. Within an easy 10 minute is a shopping center, with market, gym and coffee shop. The Institute Allende is only a 10-12 minute walk. The bus is 2 blks from the home and passes by twice each hour taking you to the shopping center, Instituto Allende or all the way to the Center of town. Area Description
The home is located in the popular San Antonio neighborhood. It is a Mexican neighborhood with many newer homes owned by North Americans. The neighbors are lovely and caring people. The home looks towards the hills and has lovely views. The elegant cedar tree in the patio is home to many exotic birds which provide color and music to the normally quiet space. San Antonio church which is a 5 min walk from the house is the home of the rituals devoted to Our Lady of Guadalupe as well as the annual Day of the Locos festivities. The church also is frequently the sight of festive Mexican weddings. The nearby Institute Allende is world famous for its art and spanish language instruction. It is the home of a wonderful cafe, as well as frequent art fairs as well as historical lectures and musical events.
San Miguel de Allende provides art on every level. That is classes for adults and children. Gallery openings every weekend for lovers of art. There are many Spanish language schools some within a few minutes walk of the house. SMA also offers lectures, movies and festivals galore.
