Write a review Little Bird was a great home-base while staying on amazing Ambergris Caye. It was a clean, comfortable and secure place to return to after a day of exploring the island or mainland, fishing, diving, or a night out at the many excellent beach bars. Little Bird was also peaceful for just lazing around on the cabana. Everything a person could want is within a short walk. Tim and Kaluha are wonderful hosts and recommended quality excursions, restaurants and a good cart rental. Definitely will be returning to Little Bird! Stayed at the cabanas in May, had a great time. Tim very helpful & Kaulua could not get enough of her! Was near to all, will plan on staying there again in the future. We stayed at the apartment in Little Bird Cabanas from 4/23/09 - 4/28/09. I was so relieved when we took a walk around town that we had chosen an apartment over a hotel. Little Bird Cabanas was kept up well, very clean. Many hotels were not. Tim was right next door to help with anything we needed and got us hooked up with a local that does fishing trips. We had a great day out on the boat with Ali and had dinner for two nights with the fish we caught. A local restaurant cooked it up with some sides. It was amazing! Then we asked them for a few tortillas and took the rest back to the apartment for the next night's dinner. Little Bird Cabanas is located at the South end of town (San Pedro). We were able to walk everywhere in town to restaurants, grocers, ice cream and bars. We wanted to see the whole island so we rented a golf cart one day and then to visit a more authentic restaurant we rented a bike the next day to hit an out of town local restaurant. Have a great trip! We had a great time at Littlebird. We were close enough to town to walk each day either along the beach or through the bustling streets, but also could reach a grocery and other places to eat and drink without going into town. Tim gave us great reccommendations for restaurants and outings and we were not led astray. The bed was very comfortable and the living room and kitchen allowed for lazy mornings or afternoons when we wanted to get out of the sun. If you stay at Littlebird, there is no reason to rent a golf cart unless you really would like to. We took probably two taxis the whole time we were there just when we tired of walking. There is a grocery around the corner as well as a pool bar at the Belize Yacht club that is open to the public. This is a great place to look out at the ocean while enjoying a cocktail at the swim up bar. We would most definitely come back again!
