Our beautiful Casita is a 1000 sqft guesthouse, with a newly built high ceiling, wood beam living/dining room, just 50 feet off our private beach. We are located in a quiet residential neighborhood within walking distance from San Pedro.

The Casita is a one-bedroom, one bathroom home with a fully equipped kitchen and dual AC. The large, high (wood beam) ceiling living/dining room has just been newly constructed. The Casita has 2 TVs (cable); maid service is provided twice a week.

Enjoy the warm waters of the Caribbean Sea and the quite private property beach equipped with lounge chairs and two hammack and outdoor dining.

Shallow waters and dock access facilitate all kind of activities, snorkeling and diving. Our location is just minutes away from a tour operation offering all activities: adventure tours, diving, snorkeling, sightseeing and BBQ trips by boat and many more activities.

Area Description

We are located on Ambergris Caye, Belize, just 2 miles South of San Pedro in a tranquil residential neighborhood.

A grocery store with take out BBQ is located just a few walking minutes away. There is hardly any foot traffic on the beach or on our quite side road.

Activities (on site or nearby): snorkeling/diving (barrier reef, Blue Hole), fishing (troll and fly) with local guides, swimming, boating, sailing, windsurfing, kayaking, birding, guided tours to nature and marine reserves and Mayan ruins, shopping, restaurants, sunbathing, and other beach
activities. Suya boat and activity center is just a few walking minutes away.

Spacious casita next to the main house. Beautiful beach view with shade or sun. Excellent diving and great dive masters with Suya Tours about 2 minutes walk to their dock. Good snorkeling right off the beach. Excellent dive sites within 5 to 10 minute boat rides. Locals are friendly and helpful. The owner, Wolfgang, took us into town on the first day for some grocery shopping, breakfast, and a tour of the town. He is an excellent host and helpful in all matters. Plenty of choices in restaurants and bars in town with Joe's, only a few minutes walk away. Joe's is kind of a convenience store with a kitchen and outside seating. You can buy a beer and a burger or wine and a skillfully prepared special of the day with tastefully balanced flavors and spices. The casita has free Internet access and satellite TV for times when a break is in order. An overall good value with a relaxed, private feel, and easy access to town.

We stayed for a week and hated to leave and go home. If you are looking to be right in the midst of restaurants, bars, and wall to wall people, don't book the casita. However, if you want to rent a small, serene dwelling with a beautiful beach just over a 100 feet away from where you sleep and eat, this is the place for you. You can be in the middle of town in 10-30 minutes based on whether you take a golf cart, bike or walk. Several small stores are much closer. The owner is on premises and treats you as if you are family. If you need info, he is happy to assist. If you want privacy, he will oblige accordingly. We highly recommend this place.

The Casita Buena Vista certainly met all of our expectations and more. Pictures do not do justice to the wonderful beachfront location and the perfect ocean breeze that accompanies it. The location is near enough to San Pedro to be able to take advantage of restaurants, shopping and recreation, but far enough to partake only in R&R if that is your desire. Wolfgang is a wonderful host providing every possible assistance, if needed. I would rate this an A+ and recommend it to anyone interested in a non-resort experience.
