Spanish style home on the island of Ambergris Caye

El Fuerte is a Spanish-style home located on a dead end street. We are set back from the sea 40 yds. We built this vacation home to offer our family and others privacy, security and a sense of being at home. We have a lovely veranda for those afternoon BBQs & those evening chats. Both bedrooms have their own AC with individual controls. High ceilings with ceilings fans throughout offer a comfortable temperature during the day. The ceiling, cabinets and furniture are built with seven different wood types native to the country of Belize.

We are located within walking distance of many resturants, beach bars, grocery stores, internet cafe, kayaking and fishing/diving/snorkeling trips. We are located 1 mile from the town of San Pedro. We offer a private cook many local dishes. This is a treat to many of our guests. This is NOT included in the rental fee and is calculated on the amount of food required to prepare the dishes. El Fuerte and Belize are two places that you will want to visit again and again. The quaintness of the island and the people are second to none.

El Fuerte is located in a neighborhood called San Telmo. It is a mixture of locals and property owners, such as myself. We are located between 2 major resorts: Banyan Bay & Xanadu. You can find both of these resorts located on an island map. This will give you a good idea where we located in relationship to town.

All major resturants are within walking distance. Great local grocery stores & resturants are within 1 block of our neighborhood. We are not located by 2 major resorts, but they do not offer live music, so they are very quite. One resort has a very nice resturant, so check them out...Banyan Bay Resort. This is the pier where you will be picked up for your dive/snorkel/fishing trips as well.
