Imagine a man who so loved his house that he moved it from the mainland to the island; in spite of its sinking twice and pieces of it floating around the reef, it was reassembled in its present location. It changed hands a few times and, finally, was renovated by an American designer/builder. Amidst stories and legends, we bought the house a few years ago.
We’re so happy to offer you a stay at this wonderful house a few feet from the sea, private, yet, not remote. It’s still astonishing to open the front door in the morning. It’s the same sea, but every morning it’s different.
You’ll find the house comfortable enough. It’s three baths and three bedrooms, it has a fully equipped kitchen, generous public spaces, both inside and out. It’s been beautifully restored.
We have a grill. There are kayaks you can use to explore the reef. And we have bikes you can use to bike along the beach. The town is about 4 ½ miles South. It’s a great early morning walk along the beach. If you prefer to take the Coastal Express to town, it runs every hour or so and it’s about a three minute walk from the house.
Walking south, you come to our favorite neighborhood restaurant, the RENDEZVOUS. Beyond that, Belizean Shores and Captain Morgan’s, the Capricorn . If you head up North, you have the Rojo Lounge, Mata Chica, Porto Fino. You’re in a great neighborhood. But it may not look like that when you get here. That’s why we’ll be here to help you out while you get oriented.
Whether you like diving, fishing, or snorkeling, you’ll find easy access to all these activities. We’re certain you will have a wonderful Caribbean vacation.

To wake up to a view that this beach house offers is true paradise! Just far enough from the hustle of San Pedro main streets and close enough for a nice beach walk to a couple of wonderful bar and restaurants. Friendly locals drive by with locally made food, fishermen deliver local, fresh catch of the day to your door, or you can walk out to the dock and catch your own. House is truly a hidden gem and so is the owner, Nicky!

Great house, right on the beach. Kayaks that we used to axcess nearby reef with wonderful snorkling. Then retire back to terass for sodas and fresh pineapple. Neighbour dive center took the family of 6 with young boys age 6-13 to all kinds of exciting adventures incl shark and ray snorkling, zip lining and a trip to Tikal, Guatemala.

I had a great time hanging out at the iguana house. I went hunting for lobster on Christmas morning. What could be better than that? I can't wait to go back!!!

We stayed here with 2 adults and 4 teenagers and found it to be lovely. There was plenty of space in the villa, lots of activities nearby to keep the teens and us occupied, great snorkeling, fishing and day trips. The property manager was very helpful in getting everything organized for us so we didn't have to worry about anything. We would go back for sure.

Great vacation rental. Quiet, clean, spacious. Mandy, the manager, was very helpful and always just a phone call away. She also owns a grocery store just "up the road" which was convienent. If I get to Belize again I wouldn't hesitate to rent this home again.

This house easily fit my family of 6 adults and one toddler. Beautiful setting, plenty of extras! Any tours we booked were picked up right here or very near by. The management team was very helpful and the grocery just a bike away had everything we needed. We most definately recommend Iguana House.
