San Pedro, Belize 2013 a trip to be done again!

The first week in March of 2013 we flew into Belize City with much excitement knowing we were about to experience something new and special. After landing we booked our puddle jumper through Tropical Air and were back in the air again for a 20 minute flight to San Pedro! Once in San Pedro we were met by our contact whom was to bring us to Caye Villa's for a weeks worth of sun, fun, drinks and adventure! The place was awesome. There is nothing like being delivered by boat to a dock for your place of stay! There were 5 villas total surrounding a private pool! While there only two villas had guests. Much needed quiet and privacy! The location is about 4.5 miles north of San Pedro by boat or golf cart. We did rent a cart for the week. It was well worth it! We also had groceries delivered. This is something that was very costly and we will probably rethink this next time. There are two beach front bars and two restaurants with in easy walking distance. A must is Rojo's as the bar crew is awesome! There is also a place in San Pedro called Elvi's which is a must try for very good food! Try the deep fried Snapper whole:) Now the beach is very nice yet there is sea grass for 100 yards or more. Kayak out past it and its amazing with the reef a short paddle from the dock! Bring your snokling gear! The area has many good adventures too! Check with the locals guides for activities! We did ziplining with cave tubing on the mainland and snokled Sting Ray Alley and Hol Can Reserve. Both must's while there. There is also Mexican Rocks to the north. In closing we can't thank the staff enough for a relaxing vacation! The grounds were well maintained and the beach raked regularly. The Villa was awesome and very comfortable except the plastic pillows? Really? Sorry I just had to throw that one in! Really though its was exactly what we expected with exerthing we needed! We even grilled one night! Coffee on the porch everyday in the morning is a must too watching the local boats and tarpon jumping! We will most definately be back!

Wonderful, relaxing and beautiful

The house was wonderful the staff was great and accommodating, we (5 friends) had the best time even though in June the mosquitos and the weather were both annoying. But all was taken care of great Armando was on time and the boat ride the house is a wonderful arrival detail that makes the whole stay so much more fun (and the sun was shining when we arrived and left so that helps too). We BBQ'ed almost every night at the house the facilities are great the little store just across the street is wonderful and the people are friendly and very helpful there too, same we found by the way on the whole island, I am glad to see there is still a country out there were everyone is amazingly friendly. We did hire a golf cart to get to and from town although that sometimes with the wet "road" was more then precarious, yet fun in a kind of exciting way. The pool was also a very welcoming addition and was used night and day by all. Would recommend this house to anyone looking for a relaxing time. Note in rainy season you are almost stuck as the road becomes impassable at times, but then there is always the water taxi. All and all nothing was wrong all was great and looking forward to a next visit in the dry season.

Just what we all needed!!!

This place is for you if you to just get away. Beautiful house and quiet setting. Loved the fact that we could just kayak out and go snorkeling. We cooked for ourselves every night on the charcoal BBQ. And just up the beach is the sun diver resort, mimmie cooks the best food or lunch. Word to the wise before you get to the house go food shopping in town. There is a small very helpfull market right behind the house, but load up and food in town. Armondo the water taxi driver will let you go and get food. If don't want to do that have mata grande grocery get your supplies for you. You can order online and it wil be waiting there for you when you arrive. And good luck trying to have a golf cart delivered. You will pay extra and cost more money. We took a water taxi to town and then rented one for the day. What a grat drive back to the house.!!! If you scuba go with Coral Reef divers. Genie is great!! They are just up the beach at the sun diver resort.

A great place to stay! Just far enough out of town, but close enough to spend as much time as you like in town. Beautifully landscaped and taken care of by Amin. He will go out of his way to help you with ANYTHING you need during your stay, even if he is not feeling well, as was the case during our stay. Mata Grande grocery is located across the street with all of the essentials. Next to Mata Grande is King Lion barbecue serving up the best barbecue in town, hands down. Great views, great pool and great people. Can't wait to go back, wouldn't consider staying anywhere else.

Best vacation ever, the villa was in an excellent location, Amin the caretaker was simply the best, any questions you had, any trips you wanted to take, Amin had all the answers and good ones at that. I will definitely book this trip again next chance I get. I cannot speak highly enough about the hospitality we received. You can go into town or stay secluded, your choice. The Snorkeling was excellent, best I ever experienced. The view from the villa was fantastic as well, wish I had booked it for a longer stay, next time I will.

What a wonderful vacation. Kayak trips out to the reef. Seeing all kinds of sealife from the dock. Great places to eat including the Palapa Bar, The Rojo Lounge, Portofino. The Mata Grande Grocery is right behind the house. Quiet, relaxing with beautiful landscaping. Amin is the care taker of the villas. Helped us out with everything. Every morning we woke up to see the sand had been raked clean. Lots of fun driving the golf cart into town or to the local restaurants. Fishing trip with snorkeling and a beach BBQ was awesome. Ask for Daniel and Daniel Jr. from the White Sands dive shop just down the beach. Kids had a great time exploring on the beach and swimming in the pool. We will be back.

Can't say enough about Coco Caye Villa, we will definitely stay there on our next trip to Ambergris Caye. The house was everything we expected, the view was amazing, the housekeeping was fabulous, but most of all the hospitality from Amin (caretaker) was exceptional. If there was anything we needed, he got it for us. We were lucky to have gained his friendship and hope to see him on our next trip. We highly recommend this villa for down to earth people who like to get away for a peaceful vacation. See you there soon!!

This place was great! The owner and staff are incredible. If you have any request they will work with you and try to make it happen. Amin (caretaker), Angela (cleaning lady) and the whole Caye Management team went above and beyond. Perfect location if you want to get away from the rat race. It is a water taxi ride to town if you want entertainment. (If you want never ending noise and people then this Villa is not for you.) It is very quite and relaxing. We rode the kayak out to the reef several times during our trip and it was incredible. My son fished off the dock and caught dinner for the family. Beach is within feet and the pool is very welcoming. The pictures don't do it justice. Hope you can someday enjoy your vacation in this villas as me and my family did. Everyone on the whole island tried their best to make this a positive trip. Go to Rojo lounge down the beach about 1/8 mile north for great food and draft beers. Go out with Dano from Rojo for a great fishing experience. Thanks Charlie and the whole Caye Management team for a great vacation!! Hope to see you guys again soon.

The location was great and the staff took great care of us.. This wasn't any 5 star resort but San Pedro was a lot of fun and our place was clean but could have used a little TLC. We would definitely go back.
