Sandestin Resort Beach House

We have been married 50 years and wanted to rent someplace where our two children and their spouses as well as our two grandchildren could join us to help us celebrate this exciting time. This was a great place! The 8 and 5 year old could be outside feeding the ducks and the turtles from the little dock on the property. At night the adults could sit out after dark and hear the frog orchestra. Loved the golf cart rides to Baytowne where the kids found fun things to do and we found restaurants there three nights during the week (as well as ice cream). We made a few trips to the beach in the golf cart, but because of a 5 year old who had a broken arm and couldn't get near the sand with her cast, we spent a lot of time in the pools. It is a comfortable, bright house and we had a great time! It was a 14 hour drive for us from St. Louis. Our family made us a beautiful platter at Fired Up! in Seaside, FL nearby. It is a lovely place where you can paint your own pottery. They all had to be creative and cooperate and it will be a beautiful memory of our time in the Destin area!

Enjoyed our stay very much. Feeding the fish, turtles and ducks off the back deck was great for the kids. Pool was a short walk, but you need to take the car to the ocean, tennis courts and Baytown which was not a problem. House was very comfortable and clean. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Everything we needed was supplied. All in all we had a great time. Thank you.

Best Vacation Ever...

We stayed at Dune Pointe in Fort Walton Beach, FL. The pictures on the website didn't do it justice. It was more than we expected, Beautiful views and a lovely decorated beach front Condo. We watched dolphins two mornings in a row from our balcony. The provided beach chairs were a plus. The weather was great, and you had a choice of going to the ocean, pool or head down the road about 5 miles and you could enjoy the bay, which is so calm and the kids can walk out in it or play on rafts. I will go back to the same place each year if possible. Larry and Di are very sweet to work with and I thank them for letting us use their home for our wonderful vacation. :) L. Watson

Our "other" Home

My husband and I took both sets of in-laws who are disabled, so it was great that the home was 1 level from entry throughout. The decor was very nice and the quality of granite / appliances / tile was even better. Carpet was a little stained in hallway and home could use more tupperware in the kitchen, but that was easily overlooked considering the beautiful view of the 13th green and the large patio facing East. The only other thing that would have helped us more was a golf cart, which was not available. We would definitely stay in this beautiful condo again. My 4 and 5 year olds loved it too. They referred to it as their "other home" and wanted to know if we could keep it.

The pictures online does not do this property justice. It was well kept and spotless upon arrival. the entire resort was beautiful and peaceful. We had a wonderful time and did not have to drive very far to enjoy the sights. The rooms were spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The golf courses were spectacular and my husband could not get enough of them. We were absolutely happy with our stay and would stay there again for our next vacation getaway to florida.

Great Vacation & Wonderful Place to Stay

We were very happy with our condo. There was plenty of space for the four adults and three children that stayed there. It was clean and pleasantly decorated and their were enough towels and kitchen equipment to make our stay comfortable. We were close to the pool which made it nice for the children and the walk to the beach was a short one. It was close enough to enjoy not only the days swimming but also the early mornings and midnight strolls. The beach was not overly crowded. All in all we had a great stay and would definitely recommend to others.

We really enjoyed the comfortable and roomy 3 bedroom, loved the hot tub screened in balcony. We began and ended every day feeding fish, ducks & turtles off the dock. The owners were very friendly and accomidating. House had everything you need, even a nice large cooler for the beach! We plan on coming back soon! Thank you!

This house was wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out on the back pier and feeding the turtles, fishing, and watching the golfers drown golf balls. I highly recommend this house to anyone! Our teenagers loved it and so did we. This place is enough to spoil anyone. The communications with the owners was good. Great stay!
