Waterfront cottage on a private lake in Cape Cod!
|Per night||$209 - $239|
|Per week||$1,299 - $1,499|
Our charming cottage is comparable to the size of a hotel suite but holds a higher sleeping capacity, is complete with a kitchen (all cookware, dinnerware and utensils are included) and serves as a more “home-like” environment. Nestled inside a combined cottage and camping resort, you can enjoy the solitude of having a cottage of your own, spare an extra expense by dining in, relax with central air and heating and enjoy our well-kept and delightful interior décor.

We stayed in a cottage with our three kids. We had an amazing time. The kids played at the parks and enjoyed the lakefront beaches. The pool is beautiful but the water is freezing but the kids didn't mind as the weather was wonderful.

I just got back from a week at Peter's Pond with my husband and 5 kids. I stayed at one of the rustic cottages and it was able to accomodate my family. The resort had a gated entrance and a curfew for the older kids so I felt safe. The highlight for the kids was the new pool. Peters pond was a big thumbs up for my family so we will be going back next summer.

the cottage is actually a mobile home, not a cottage at all. very small.

Myself and three friends stayed from 6/14-6/17. The cottage was much smaller than expected and only one comfortable bed but it was so high you literally had to climb into it and i am 5'8" all other beds geared towards children. We looked forward to the heated pool only to find out when we arrived that it was closed. Also planned to go kayaking but on the day I wanted to go, i arrived to pay for trip but was told it was not open that day. The circuits in the cottage kept blowing - had to flip breaker at least 3 times during stay and the night before i left was making brownies in oven and they wouldn't cook for an hour and half then ended up being hard as a rock and not even edible. Called maintenance to look at oven and was told he was not a gas man and he saw a full flame in oven, when he left i looked and there was some popping sounds and no flame only pilot light. My friends were so uncomfortable with the beds/loveseat and lack of comfortable seating that they left a whole day early. Had to call maintenance the first day because the TV wouldn't work and the living room area would only seat three people, we had to bring a wicker chair in from the porch. looked more like a trailer than a cottage. The only positive thing about the cottage was that it was clean. We drove over two hours to get there and arrived around noon but were told we could not check in till two pm and that it would cost us twenty dollars extra to check in then. Need I go on? We had high hopes but were very disappointed.

The 2 bedroom waterfront cottage that I rented for 4 nights Memorial Day weekend was not available when arriving at the resort. Local management and staff did nothing to address my concerns over what initially appeared to be a bait and switch operation. I was given the reservation number in NY to call which did not have a manager available to speak with me. The polite customer service rep filed a claim on my behalf. We spent 1 night in a smaller accomodation with 1 stool and no table for dinner. We did not fit in the loft due to our size. The manager assured me the appropriate accomodations were not available for me to upgrade on any of the 4 nights I would be there. On day 2 I became aware that the new pool and waterslide that was schedule to open would not be available for another week. I immediately contacted the NY reservation desk to attempt to speak with a manager and successfully communicated all of my issues. The manager immediately found me the 2 bedroom waterfront accomodate that the local manager at the resort claimed was not available. We stayed 3 nights in our appropriate accomodations however no pool. The resort itself is a very well kept resort and appears to be safe and heavily occupied with repeat customers. I would suggest more professionalism of the local staff and more training to ensure that activities occur as planned on the schedule that is published. The maintenance crew was friendlier than the front desk which is a problem. There is a person who escorts you to your site which would be effective if they possessed the correct interpersonal skils. When I mentioned to my escort that the unit she brought me to was no where near being a waterfront cottage her reply was "this is what you rented" which was not true and I had the original reservation to prove it. The dollar value is excellent provided local staff accomodate you in what you paid for. The NY reservation office is the highly professional and willing to problem solve for their customers.

It was a quaint little cottage, we were a little taken back by the size of the "loft". What was described and what we were expecting were very different. It was straight up a stairway that was more like climbing a ladder, with very little space above your head, as it was more like being in an attic! Otherwise, it was clean and cozy. The shower had good water pressure and was perfect! It was nice to have a 1/2 bath as well as the full bath. We flew in from out of state, so we had a rental car to travel in, there was planty of information on the table in the living room for places to see while on Cape Cod! We weren't in the cottage much as we were there to see the sights and culture of Cape Cod, so the cozyness of the cottage was nice. It was well worth the price we paid. There were plenty of towels as well.

The cottage was very small. Ok for two adults and kids, but the dining table was on the screen porch which was not great. Most nights it was too cold to sit outside so we ate inside with plates on our laps. Customer service was not too great. This rental is through Morgan Rv which owns campgrounds on the east coast. Information we got from their main office in Maine was inconsistent with what we were told at the campground, which was annoying. Cable went out half way through the week and we got a different answer each time we called. While out for a walk we ran into a disgruntled seasonal renter who told us of some issues they are having with the campground parent company. Unfortunate because it's a nice property!

We loved our stay at Peters Pond! If we had stayed at a conventional hotel, we would have needed 3 hotel rooms and hardly seen one another. Even on the day of torrential rain, we enjoyed cooking, playing games and watching movies by the fireplace. When the sun was shining, we enjoyed walks around the park trails and swimming in the clean water of Peters Pond. People in our group range in age from 20 to 83 and everyone had a wonderful time. There were many activities for younger families but there was plenty for us too and the location in Sandwich was concenient. We visited the Glass Museum, had dinner at The Belfry, spent a day in Boston, went to JFK's Presidential Library, spent an evening in Provincetown and took the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. At the end of the day, it was so nice to go back to our air-conditioned house. It was clean, comfortable and much more relaxing than a hotel room. I look forward to returning to Peters Pond and maybe even trying a stay at one of the other locations. The truth is, I wasn't sure that we would like staying at a campground but we all found ourselves saying so many times that the house was much better than a hotel. We had a wonderful vacation, a great time together as a family and really enjoyed the space and privacy of the house.
