Description of the Sanibel Island vacation condo rental

Walk-out to beach and pool from this first floor, 1250 sq. ft., luxurious, Pointe Santo condo. Interior is completed renovated in tropical style with all the latest amenities.

Bedding is crisp and clean, white, 100% cotton. Renters are asked to pack socks and/or slippers and remove shoes and flip flops at the door.

There are three flatscreen TVs, two DVD players and CD player, Maytag washer/dryer, plentiful cookware and dinnerware, a spice rack, GE stainless steel appliances, dining for six, and Gulf views from Master bedroom and lanai.

Pointe Santo is the loveliest complex on Sanibel and its beautiful beach has some of the best shelling on the Island.
Its Polynesian style landscaping offers swaying palms; complimentary lounge chairs along beach and at pool; tiki picnic areas; well kept, stainless steel gas grills; well maintained grounds with tropical flowers and plants.

On site activities include heated pool; whirlpool spa; beach volleyball; tennis courts; shell cleaning sink with identification chart; shuffleboard; and clubhouse with a rooftop sundeck and a childrens activities director.

Area Information

Sanibel Island has miles of white, sugar sand beach, bike paths everywhere, bike rentals with free delivery & pick up, National Wildlife Refuge, a Shell Museum, and two public golf courses. Both the Boston Red Sox and Minnesota Twins Spring training stadiums are nearby in Ft Myers.

Tucked away behind the lush trees along the main street, Periwinkle Way, you will find two large supermarkets, two mini markets, endless boutique shopping, and more than sixty restaurants.

Sanibel remains an unspoiled gem of Florida due to the preservation of land and strict limits on development.

Perfect place for a family!

Sanibel is heaven on earth! These accommodations were more than we hoped for...there was plenty of room for three adults and one child. Everything we needed was included...washer/dryer, full kitchen, beach toys, games, flat panel TV and a beautiful lenai. Short walk to the pool and beach...close to grills, lots to do on the island from shopping, sightseeing, restaurants, beaching and shelling. We loved our vacation and are planning another trip next year to the same condo! I give this condo five stars out of five!

We LOVED our vacation. Sanibel was just beautiful and your condo was fabulous. It was perfectly spacious for our family and provided everything we needed. We just fell in love with the island and had a ball exploring everything. I'm sure we're going to go back again and again.

Our family celebrated our Christmas holiday on Sanibel Island, a lovely change from our typical holiday spent knee-deep in Pennsylvania snow. We had a wonderful stay and the weather could not have been more perfect. We routinely ate our evening meals on the lanai, watching the sun set over the horizon. The condo itself is very well kept, clean, and decorated beautifully with hints of a tropical theme. The kitchen is well-appointed with new amenities and is stocked with all the necessary equipment for meal preparation. While we spent the majority of our time on the beach shelling, swimming or napping, the condo has multiple televisions (at least one flat screen!) and is roomy enough that privacy is available if necessary. The second bedroom has a lovely enclosed patio, while the main bedroom opens to the spacious lanai. The best part is being just a minute's walk to the beach. The property also provides chaise lounges situated on the beach, which make for a great place to watch the sunset. The grounds surrounding the unit are well maintained with beautiful flowers and palm trees. Tennis courts are nearby, and just down the road bicycles can be rented for a day or longer. The island is fun to tour and there are a number of excellent restaurants and interesting places to shop. If you enjoy birding, the nearby sanctuary is rated as one of the best in the country. There are a lot of activities to partake in if interested, including sea kayaking, fishing, and parasailing. All in all, the condo and the island are wonderful places for a relaxing and fun vacation.

This is our third year staying in Pointe Santo and our first year in this condo. Pointe Santo is great - family friendly, very clean & well manicured, nice ammenities and daily activities. The unit was great too! Wonderfully appointed with new appliances and modern kitchen, nice furniture, flat screen TVs, books, sand toys, etc. The unit is up to date, well taken care of, clean and warm & cozy. We immediately re-booked for next spring!

Q:How do we get the key?

A:There is a keypad on the door. You will be assigned a code for your stay.

Q:Which airport is closest? Do we need a car?

A:Southwest Florida International in Fort Myers. It is 26 miles along a well marked route. Rental cars are reasonable and conveniently located directly across from baggage area. Not only will you save on taxi fare, but will enjoy having a car to explore the Island and go out evenings when it is too dark to ride a bike.
