Description of the Sanibel Island vacation home rental

This terrific 4 bedroom 2 bath pool home is located just 2/10 of a mile to one of the most gorgeous shelling beaches in the United States. You can walk, ride your bike or park your car at the private beach access at the end of the street. Then you take the beach path that takes you right down to the sandy shore. This is a true beach home with all the amenities to enjoy your stay on our beautiful island. The living and dining area are light and bright with a full kitchen and a guest bedroom and bath, right off the kitchen. The deck surrounds the outside of the house where you can sun or read and just snooze the days away. Upstairs the master has a king size bed, large closets and also a deck off the master and a shared full bath. Two other guest rooms are found upstairs, one with twin beds and one with roomy bunk beds (bottom bunk has a double size mattress).

You have a lovely heated pool, gas grill and a wonderful spot to just relax and sip your pina coladas. The house is located in the Tradewinds subdivision which is equal distance between Sanibel and Captiva. You are just minutes from the Ding Darling Wildlife Sanctuary, the new Sanibel Fitness Center, The Shell Museum, Sanibel Captiva Conservation and the Care and Rehabilitation of Wildlife Center. The famous Sanibel restaurant Doc Fords, is only a short hop, as is Captiva and with all it has to offer.

Sanibel and Captiva Islands are world renowned for their beautiful shelling beaches (ranked 3rd in the world after Australia and The Figi's). Besides it's breathtaking tropical feel, the islands are very unusual since you won't find a traffic light or any building over three stories. They have kept the islands the way nature intended with over 2/3 of the island dedicated as a wildlife sanctuary. Sanibel is also known for it's wonderful bike paths, everywhere on the island are trails for hiking or biking. Wildlife is in abundance here and some of the most fabulous birding is found on this island. You can find boating and sailing and fishing anywhere on the island. If you like kayaking or canoeing, this is the place for you. Restaurants abound, some of the finest cuisine in Southwest Florida can be tasted on these barrier islands. We have quaint shopping, we have golf, we have a movie theater, we have a fitness center, we have tennis courts, we have it all on this spectacular tropical island.

Home is located close to the beach, and near Captiva. A plus is it's room to accomodate a large group, and has ample parking. 4 cars could be parked at home easily. Pool is heated. The home is older, but clean. Relaxing atmosphere in a modest neighborhood. Home is close to entrance of nature preserve, Doc Ford's rum bar, and shell museum. House does need a new grill. It's nothing fancy, but is nice to lounge by the pool,or take a short walk to the beach for a relaxing vacation.
