Description of the Sanibel Island vacation home rental

Our Castaways home is located on the northwestern tip of the island in an extremely private tropical surrounding within a 5-minute walk to great restaurants and excellent fishing and shelling along both Sanibel and Captiva beaches.

This 2,300 square foot home includes 3 bedrooms, 2-1/2 bathrooms (sleeps 8), modern kitchen, spacious dining room and living areas, fireplace, high speed internet,central air, washer and dryer.

There is a private pool with bar and BBQ grill out back, along with a private dock where manatee visit, tarpon roll, mullet jump and nature abounds.

5th Year at the Casaways

This was our 5th year at the house and it is just a fantastic place for a family vacation. The spacious home is very well decorated and equipped with anything you may need. The house has been remodeled in the past year and is absolutely beautiful. The dock in the back of the house is perfect for docking your boat so you can just go out the back door and head out to the gulf. Manatees come up in the canal and actually come up to the canoe (provided at no additional charge) to have their noses rubbed and the fishing is fantastic. It is just a short walk to the beach and is rarely crowded but always clean and relaxing. It is also nice to be able to just jump in the pool when you want to. The entire atmosphere inside and out is just perfect. The island is just so tropical and peaceful.
