Description of the Sanibel Island vacation home rental

Save $425 off the regular monthly rate August - October 2013! This ground level Island Home with deeded beach access is waiting for you on the secluded west side of Sanibel. Named Cottontail Cottage for its location on Rabbit Road by West Gulf Drive, the home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, features island decor, and a screened/heated private pool. The home is furnished with everything you need to make your getaway comfortable, including cable television, wireless internet, domestic long-distance, an iPod dock, a Nintendo Wii system, a well appointed kitchen, gas grill and washer/dryer. For your convenience, you will also find two bikes and beach necessities (umbrella, chairs, and toys). The Master Bedroom has a king size bed, large closet, flat screen TV, and a sliding door to the pool. The second bedroom has two twin beds, a TV and DVD player; and the guest bedroom has a queen bed and a desk. It is a short walk from the house to the beach, and less than a mile to the J.N. “Ding” Darling Nature Preserve and the Sanibel Recreation Center. Please note, the City of Sanibel requires a minimum 4 week rental period for houses.

Once you cross the causeway from mainland Florida to Sanibel Island, you will have arrived at one of the most pristine places on earth. Sanibel is a relaxing island with its white sand beaches on the warm and inviting waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The Island is world-renowned for its extraordinary shelling, and with nearly 70% of Sanibel designated as nature preserve, it is a haven for abundant wildlife from herons and pelicans to sea turtles and dolphins. And when you have had your fill of the beach for the day, you can spend time biking on the miles of paths, shopping at the quaint stores in Periwinkle Place and Tahitian Gardens, or you can dine at one of the many restaurants such as The Lazy Flamingo, Doc Fords and The Sanibel Café. Sanibel is a truly unforgettable and special place, and you will find yourself always wanting to return to the Island.
