Description of the Santa Barbara vacation home rental
We don't actively have our house on the market, but would entertain offers. The whole house is 4 bed/3 bath, den, family room, Living, dining, kitchen, 2 one-car gargages.
Our house is in a very nice and convenient part of beautiful Santa Barbara. The rental portion could be anyware from 2-4 bedroom, 2 bath home plus family room and office (and the 4th bedroom becomes available if our niece moves out of the 1 bedroom "apartment" that is also part of our house.)
For house (not including the "apartment") it would be $1300/week (plus a $100 cleaning fee and a $200 refundable deposit.) Additional nights beyond one week will be $175/night for additional nights.) We'd like to have at least a one week rental, but might be negotiable on that one if we can get some of the other time covered.
We are 6 blocks from State Street, which is the vibrant downtown core area. We are near the old Spanish Mission, parks, and reasonable close to the beach (can bicycle down there ... we have bikes you could borrow).
Our place would be great for a couple, a group of travelers, and especially a family looking for a nice vacation or spot to enjoy for a week or more.
Our bedrooms have a queen bed in one room and a low bunk bed in the other. Lots for school age children to do, but would work fine for just adults. With our futon couch in the living room or a blow up mattress in the office, we could accommodate up to 6 (may want a bit more for 6 adults).

Area Description
Santa Barbara is a wonderful vacation spot for those with all sorts of interests and our house is right in one of the best spots to enjoy this city. We are a short drive or bike ride to the beach, hiking trails, and the university. In walking distance you can reach the old Spanish Mission, wonderful parks, and the downtown core with it's nice restaurants, concert venues, and shops.
Despite being in short walking distance from all the action, our nieghborhood is charming and does not feel like it's right in the city.
Natural History Museum, Sea Center, Maritime Museum, Museum of Art, Kids World Play Ground, Mission Rose Garden, Rocky Nook Park, Old Mission, County Bowl/Libero/Arlington/Granada (concert/live theater venues in walking distance), Santa Barbara Courthouse (incredible architecture), dozens of nice restaurants in the State Street area with many less expensive options down Milpas Street.
