Why stay in a hotel/motel, or the suburbs that look like any other, when you can enjoy our beautiful Beach Getaway, 2 blocks to the beach and town?

We are located in the most desirable location in Santa Barbara, the Historic West Beach Area, just steps away from the beach, Public Pool, Stearns Wharf, Hafbor, Las Banos Public Pool, world-class dining, and downtown shops, including our own local farmers market. Leave your car and associated traffic and parking worries behind.

The Beach Getaway resides in historical turn of the century building and retains the charm of the days bygone. My husband and I spent a year working with craftsmans and designers to create a unique vacation rental reflecting the style of the early 1900's and Santa Barbara. The hand cast plaster gives it both a romantic and European feeling. And the 10-foot ceilings, Waterford fireplace, hard wood and limestone floors all add to its ambiance. You will not find a comparable vacation rental for the price - location, quality and price.

Exquisite antique furnishings, which date to the late 1800’s, were hand selected and imported from Europe. One bedroom offers a French queen mahogany feather top bed with matching nightstands. It also has a small desk with wireless internet access. The second bedroom offers a queen walnut feather bed and matching armoire.

Each bedroom is complimented with a full bath. The bathrooms are immaculate - all new with limestone floors, granite countertops and French tiles.

The sparkling new & open kitchen has hardwood floors and granite counter tops with a cook top range, microwave, dishwasher and refrigerator. Its granite counter tops include a dining area for 5.

The warm & cozy living room has wood floors, couch with full pullout bed, TV, DVD and stereo.

Enjoy the views, through the glass French door, to the large private courtyard and potted flowers. The courtyard has an Italian fountain and green shrubbery that can be enjoyed on chaise lounges and wrought iron dining table and chairs. A large gas grill has also been provided for enjoyment of our local flavors.

The Beach Getaway is a rare high quality vacation destination in the heart of Santa Barbara for the price! Enjoy all the comforts and privacy of a home for less than the price of a hotel.

(A few helpful hints when comparing us to others. The Beach Getaway is on the ground floor, 1 level, with FULL bathrooms and bedrooms, NO lofts or stairs. We also offer private reserved parking, as opposed to parking on the street which is a challenge being so close to the beach. Finally, we are not located on a commercial thorough fare, next to the Highway (APS or 101) or railroad tracks. We are in an upscale residential enclave in the West Beach Area, in Santa Barbara, 2 blocks to the Beach and State Street.)

We are walking distance to the main street downtown which offers shopping and bike rentals. We are also walking distance to the harbor for sailing, dining, scuba or simply to put you feet in the sand and enjoy happy hour with a beautiful sunset.

• Deposits: - $300 refundable damage security deposit that is refunded within 5 days of check out. - In order to confirm a reservation, we require 50% of the rental fee plus deposit, with the remaining 50% due 30 days before check in. - Our standard method of payment is checks. However, we also accept credit card payment via Paypal and bank wire Tansfers but in these cases we pass the 4% PayPal fee and $25/wire transfer fee on.
