Description of the Santa Barbara vacation home rental

This is an ideal home for entertaining both indoors and out. The new gourmet Viking kitchen opens to an expansive living area as well as the pool and patio. The meticulously landscaped grounds are completely private. The house overlooks a large preserve with trails. A deck with Jacuzzi Tub and fire pit is built into the side of the hill with spectacular views of the mountains and city. The barbecue area has a burner and dual sink wet bar. Grilling is easy with lemon and lime trees as well as an herb garden at your disposal. The pool is 3-10 ft deep and is perfect for rowdy games of water basketball.

The concert grand piano, played by Lionel Ritchie, and the large gas fireplace also make this house perfect for a romantic get away. The master bed and bath are separated from the main house. It is has a waterfall shower and a 46 inch LCD. Adjoining this is a quiet atrium for morning meditation. Upstairs there are two bedrooms with large sliding glass doors opening to a deck with ocean views. There is a two car garage and a separate car port. There are wet suits, surfboards, boogie boards, bikes and snorkeling gear for use.

Relaxing Getaway

I surprised my uncle and his family with this beautiful vacation home for the weekend. This place had breathtaking views of Santa Barbara and was private enough to not disturb the neighbors. The kitchen was perfectly spacious enough to cook for my family, who are culinary experts, and the BBQ allowed us to enjoy the outdoors. Although the pool wasn't heated, the jacuzzi made the nights looking at the stars much more memorable. I would recommend this place again and again to anyone visiting Santa Barbara. The spacious house is close to everything, the beach, grocery stores, the freeway and downtown, but far enough away to not get any traffic. Thank you, Karen Laurie for help setting everything up!!

Great Family Vacation Home, Quiet, Close to Town

This is a very good multi-family vacation getaway. Lovely sunset views from backyard. Quick drive to local grocery stores and less than 10 minute drive to harbor shops with great dining. Will need to drive to beaches as this house is a little inland (but West of Hwy 101) and up a steep hill. This is an older house but well kept and well stocked. Negatives: Electric Cook Top, Unheated Pool, Uncomfortable Dining Table Stools, Outdoor Speakers Not Hooked Up. Positives: Hot Tub, Views to Canyons & Mountains, BBQ with Sink, TV Room has Comfortable Couch with a Wall of Windows to Watch the Sunsets, Quiet neighborhood, Extra Bathroom Outside by Pool, Lots of Parking. Rental experience with Karen went great. No problems with the house, nor with getting our security deposit refunded quickly. I recommend this home and would stay here again.
