We are 6 high school friends (1960 grads) who get together each year for a weeks vacation. This wonderful house was absolutely beautiful...it was a great retreat to return to after the hustle and bustle of Santa Barbara excursions. The manicured yard with the view of city lights, the magnificent kitchen with all the amenities and the comfortable sleeping accomodations were great. The park next door satisfied our hiking jaunts -plus we enjoyed looking at the ocean view and watching the hang gliders jump into thin air. The location was close enough to drive to beaches and downtown - but is also in a quiet cul-de-sac to satisfy our quiet times..Highly recommend this vacation rental !!

My friends and I were here for our annual getaway to the SB Film festival. The house was in a perfect location to get downtown while still being close to the beach. It was wonderful to sit on the patio with a glass of wine discussing the films and taking in the breathtaking view of Santa Barbara and the mountains beyond. Everything in the house is new and it is very nicely decorated. Walked to the top of Elings Park in the morning with my coffee to gaze at the Channel Islands. We can't wait to come back!

A:Year round! Santa Barbara is blessed with a mild climate with a range of average highs of 77 degrees Fahrenheit in Summer to average highs of 66 degrees Fahrenheit in Winter. There is always something going on to enjoy: Santa Barbara Film Festival, Old Spanish Days Fiesta, Summer Solstice Parade, Harbor & Seafood Festival, Vintners' Festival, epicure.sb: a month to savor santa barbara, Earth Day Festival and more!

Q:How do I get to Santa Barbara?

A:Access is easy by train, plane or auto! Los Angeles is 2 hours away, San Francisco is 5 hours away by car. Santa Barbara has a train station and airport, too. Even Cruise ships come in by tender to Stearns Wharf.
