Come to Santa Barbara just once and discover its magic... unlike anywhere else on Earth, a unique feeling that's more than wine and arts, more than sunshine and the crisp air off the Pacific, more than amazing food and natural beauty. Santa Barbara is all of these things wrapped into the richness of a big city with the feel of a small town, a unique way of life that's both sophisticated and simple, refined and relaxed, the culture of Europe meets the spirit of the West Coast in what can only be described as "the American Riviera." Seeing is believing, and once you see what Santa Barbara's all about, you'll be hooked forever! Foodies sip and savor their way through Santa Barbara year-round and film buffs delve into our deep ties to cinema during the Santa Barbara International Film Festival. Visitors delight in our Spanish-influenced architecture and the diversity of our arts and culture, including the Santa Barbara Mission, the city Musuem, the city Zoo, the Santa Barbara Opera, musical performances at the Santa Barbara Bowl, and the weekly arts & crafts fair on the beach. And those who would prefer to leave the car in park and explore Santa Barbara by foot, train, water taxi, trolley, or bike will want to learn more about family-friendly ways to travel to and in Santa Barbara car free. But more than its attraction for any one interest, Santa Barbara creates the space and spirit to relax and explore, ever casual and always comfortable. Take a break from the ordinary, leave the world behind and plan a visit today!

A perfect home in a perfect location
January 25, 2014
This home has a spacious family size kitchen conducive to exciting family meals. The dining room has a fabulous view of Santa Barbara. The manicured back yard shares the views and doubles the livable space of the house when the weather is clear. For our stay this meant everyday. Minutes away is the Arroyo Burro Beach which provides wonderful mild surf with fantastic views of the Channel Islands. A little further and you arrive at UC Santa Barbara with fabulous art exhibits and cultural events. The campus is adjaent to the airport. Back at the house the views continue to impress. Outside the front door is Elings Park and even though you don't have your dogs with you there is a parade of canine companions to entertain you. The park has wonderful hiking trails and you can watch hangliders jump off the cliffs and soar away. Back on Cliff a left turn takes you into downtown Santa Barbara with its harbor and Wharf and wonderful stores up and down State Street. It is great to avoid the 101 and take the side streets. Head out on Las Positas Road and you hit upper State Street with the Mall and Whole foods and stop to sip the Regal wines from Piedmonte at the Via Maestra 42. Speaking of wines no stay in Santa Barbara is complete without enjoying the wide array of vineyards in Santa Ynez during the growing and harvest season. January is a down time for the vines and the tastings are few but the local wines are available to enjoy. Villa Di Giulietta provides an ideal headquarters for enjoying everything that this wonderful city and Region provide.

We satayed at this beautiful house over Thanksgiving week 2013. The house was beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and had all the kitchen supplies we needed to make a great Thanksgiving dinner. There was plenty of room for 3 couples to sleep comfortably in the three bedrooms, along with one more person on the pull out couch in the study. The view from the back patio was spectacular, and the nearby park also provided wondrful views of the oceans and mountains. We would definitely stay there again!
Owner Supplied Testimonials
The home is a quiet well appointed house with a large kitchen, comfortable for a family or small group of friends. From the spacious landscaped backyard there is a tremendous view of Santa Barbara. It is situated at the end of a quiet street adjacent to the entrance to a hiking park which closes at 7:00 PM. A constant flow of dog lovers arrive to allow their pets to run free. From the cliffs in the park, one can gaze out at the Pacific and the Channel Islands. There are several gentle trails to follow, great for stretching the legs.
Less than a mile from the house on Cliff there is sandy arroyo Burro beach with a mild surf. At the beach is a pleasant restaurant for a nice meal with a great view. Follow Cliff in the other direction and arrive in downtown Santa Barbara or turn right onto Meigs and take the coastal route. Miles of beaches and coastline as you twist and turn into the Marina and then on to Stearns Wharf.
The house is midway between the UC Santa Barbara campus (and the airport) and coastal State Street. Take Las Positas to upper State Street and find a cluster of great ethnic restaurants. the location is great for traveling by car and equally ideal for those who enjoy biking. Should you want a hike, expect to walk 5 miles downhill to downtown but remember the same 5 miles will be uphill when you return.
The house does not have tennis courts or a swimming pool and there is no hot tub so if these are important amenities for your stay look elsewhere. For us it is hard to say what is best about a house with so many superlatives, however the thing we liked the least was leaving! Henry, Wilmette IL, January 2014
Thank you for such a wonderful experience. It was the perfect setting for us to celebrate our son's graduation. We enjoyed our evenings relaxing in the backyard with our family taking in the amazing view, our walks through the trails and our quiet mornings listening to the birds. Hope to see you soon! Best, The Thodos Family, San Mateo CA, June 2013
Thank you so much for this beautiful house we got to vacation in! Our whole family came together and we were able to meet up with relatives we haven't seen in forever! Santa Barbara is beautiful! Everyday was filled with fun, laughter, and beautiful sights! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! - Williams/Anderson/Andrews Family, Keenesburg CO, July 2013
Thank you for opening your home to us. It's a wonderful place to live in after days of hustle and bustle. Thanks to you, we had the perfect vacation and I hope everyone has the same. Thank you, The Sita Family, Tulare CA, July 2013
We are 6 high school friends (1960 grads) who get together each year for a weeks vacation. This wonderful house was absolutely beautiful...it was a great retreat to return to after the hustle and bustle of Santa Barbara excursions. The manicured yard with the view of city lights, the magnificent kitchen with all the amenities and the comfortable sleeping accomodations were great. The park next door satisfied our hiking jaunts -plus we enjoyed looking at the ocean view and watching the hang gliders jump into thin air. The location was close enough to drive to beaches and downtown - but is also in a quiet cul-de-sac to satisfy our quiet times..Highly recommend this vacation rental !!

My friends and I were here for our annual getaway to the SB Film festival. The house was in a perfect location to get downtown while still being close to the beach. It was wonderful to sit on the patio with a glass of wine discussing the films and taking in the breathtaking view of Santa Barbara and the mountains beyond. Everything in the house is new and it is very nicely decorated. Walked to the top of Elings Park in the morning with my coffee to gaze at the Channel Islands. We can't wait to come back!
