Description of the Santa Barbara vacation townhouse rental

This charming Queen Anne Victorian style duplex contains 2 luxury townhouses. It’s situated on a property behind one of Santa Barbara’s oldest Victorians, which was built in the mid 1800’s. Built in 2001 in the same style as the main house, it boasts a tower, complete with “witches cap” under which the “A” unit’s Jacuzzi tub is situated overlooking the neighborhood from it’s 3rd floor perch; and, beneath that the “B” Unit’s covered deck is cozily ensconced. Both units boast hand-inlaid wood floors, and a fireplace. The “A” Unit offers mountain views and a large outdoor deck for sunbathing or entertaining; while the “B” unit offers a more private retreat for morning coffee, a luncheon bridge game, an intimate candlelit dinner, or a nightcap.

While we have a no smoking policy inside, you are welcome to smoke on the deck -- ashtray will be provided.

We are also dog friendly.

-- ~120 scenic miles north on Rte 101 through wine country to Hearst Castle

Excellent stay.

The owners did an excellent job designing and setting up their town house rental and the kitchen contained all the gear you would need for cooking a regular set of meals. 2.5 baths made it easy for everyone to shower and clean up, and there is a very nice porch and grill. They also accommodate dogs which helped us enormously. If you want a centrally located Santa Barbara stay that is also very quiet, it's hard to imagine a better spot. We did not have a car for most of our stay and could easily walk to the grocery, Christmas shopping, the mission, art museum, and two beaches, one of which allows dogs off leash. We researched over fifty properties in LA, San Diego, and SB; this was our careful choice; and after a very pleasant week, we recommend it highly.

Greetings, I would highly recommend this beautiful townhome, walking distance to all the great shopping on State street. My partner, son and I slept well on the very comfortable beds, enjoyed the hot tub/jacuzi and the well equipped kitchen. Overall, we felt as if we were part of the community and welcomed by the owners in a very gracious fashion. I could not have asked for a more comfortable, lovely location! We will definitely want to go back to see Karen and Cliff!
