This original 1920s George Washington Smith (GWS) estate was built for Mr. Irving Wright in 1923 and has beautiful ocean and city views of Santa Barbara. GWS is considered the finest architect of his time practicing in the Spanish Colonial Revival Style and has come to be known as the Father of Santa Barbara style. This home is famously published and is one of a handful of GWS estates still in original condition. Located in the heart of the world famous Santa Barbara Riviera, it is minutes to the City and beach yet has country side privacy and ambiance. It has retained the original beauty and charm that makes GWS homes the most recognized and architecturally appreciated homes in Santa Barbara. Deposits: 50% of the rent, cleaning fee and $2,500 damage security deposit is required to confirm a reservation with remaining 50% due 60 days before check in. Standard method of payment is checks and direct deposits at any Bank of America Branch. Credit card payments are also accepted via PayPal and bank wire transfers but in these cases the 4% PayPal fee and $25/wire transfer fee are passed on. .
Other Fees: Rental Policy - Prices in US Dollars - $425 cleaning fee Summer Season rates are in effect for UCSB Graduation, Thanksgiving Week, and Christmas Weeks. - Stays < 30 days are subject to a 12% Lodging Tax - $2,500 security deposit refundable within 14 days of checkout (monthly+ stays require extra deposit) - Monthly stay rates vary depending on length of stay - Cancellations: if a reservation is canceled the amount on deposit is subjecgt to loss unless re-rented for the same time period.
