Peaceful and comfortable, November 14, 2009
By Terri (Alberta)
This studio casita was the perfect combination for my first visit to New Mexico. Removed from the busy tourist areas to enjoy the peace and beauty of the landscape, and yet close enough to Santa Fe to easily take in all the museums, restaurants and shopping. It was wonderful to return at the end of the day and listen to the bubbling waterfall of the goldfish pond. It was just as lovely to wake up in the morning and enjoy the birds bathing in the pond while having coffee (beans, grinder and good coffee pot all provided!)
The casita is only as good as it's hostess, and Caroline takes care of everything. She is attentive to details (providing plush linens, abundant breakfast fixings, everything you might need from umbrellas to binoculars!), thoughtful (leaving outdoor lights on for late night returns) and provides exceptional service (daily tidying/linen replacements in the most unobtrusive fashion).
Although I had done a fair bit of research and knew what I wanted to do, I appreciated the many guides and books provided, as well as Caroline's suggestions. Her recommendation for a restaurant on our last night was divine (and affordable!), and I'd go there reguarly if I could!
I cannot imagine finding a better vacation rental for the price. The casita is comfortable, completely functional (I love the retro decor of the bathroom), and the views are simply splendid. Thanks Caroline for sharing this beautiful spot with us.

Thanks this beautiful rental, we had the best vacation ever. A quiet place with everything you need and more. The view, the little pond with goldfish, the fully-equipped kitchenette, and especially the hostess's extra-special touches made this an extraordinary find.
Above and Beyond, September 17, 2009

Caroline definately went above and beyond to make our stay pleasant.
We had our small dog with us and Caroline had set out dog bowls and treats for her. There were breakfast items in the fridge and a bowl of fresh fruit was on the table. We had clean towels every day. She even supplied an umbrella, flashlight, fan, etc. etc. The information and pictures on the internet really did seem too good to be true for the price, but it was everything we expected and more. It was peaceful and very comfortable and the scenery was beautiful. Unlike a motel situation, there were not a lot of people around which made for a quiet and relaxing vacation.
Thank you Caroline!!
Once Again...fantastic, August 20, 2009

I dont think I can say any more than I said after my recent April 2009 stay. I am definitely a repeat customer...once again, a great experience...solitude, peace, and wonderful hospitality.
Perfect home base, August 9, 2009
By Mike (Annapolis/WashDC)
We spent three enjoyable days at Caroline's place, doing a mix of hoofing around Santa Fe, hiking Taos/Bandalier, and just relaxing at the outside table. Kitchen, bath, and rest of the studio were well thought out and made the stay pleasant.
Ready access to downtown, but far enough out to enjoy the high desert nights.
This will be our home base for future trips.
peaceful retreat, April 13, 2009

What a wonderful jewel! Although it seemed too good to be true from the pics & reviews on the website, this little casita proved to be everything said about it. Five minutes to downtown but far enough away to provide physical & spiritual rejuvenation. Peaceful, tranquil with soft chimes, quiet babbling water outside yr front door, great views of the mountains, privacy, and all the amenities of a lst class hotel. I think we have found our permanent Santa Fe vacation spot! And what a wonderful hostess Caroline was...left us privacy but provided every comfort needed..I can't say enough...

My husband and I thoroughly ejoyed this lovely rental. The accomodations suited us well, and we loved feeling like we were "away from it all" yet only a short drive to the center of Santa Fe. This was so much better than a hotel!

This also was my first vacation rental experience, and everything everyone else said ~ ditto! I appreciated the peace, the fireplace, the comfortable furnishings, the breakfast fixings, the big windows with that beautiful New Mexico sky view morning and night... even the tap water from her well. The water is so tasty that I filled up my hiking bottle before I left, to savor it on the trip home. Unfortunately, I forgot about airport security, so I had to go thru the line again! :) I'll definitely come back. Thanks, Caroline.
Our first Vacation rental!, February 13, 2009
By Richard Hancey (U.K)
This was our first venture into the U.S. rentals market and Caroline made it all very easy and smooth. Every need catered for, from breakfast in the fridge t, to invaluble insights into where to visit in and around Santa Fe. Caroline made us feel really welcome and staying in her welldesigned cottage was truly 'home from home'.

Better than any hotel, February 4, 2009
By Corrie (St. Louis, MO)
Caroline’s place has so much character and scenic desert views. In addition to a great location (close enough for an easy commute yet far enough away to feel secluded), it was everything you hope for in a room/B&B with many pleasant surprises. The place is more affordable than surrounding hotels, but offered amenities none of them would dream of providing – fresh flowers, working fireplace, fresh fruit and juice, internet, cable, a hospitable hostess, and more local literature than should exist for one city. Thanks Caroline and we hope to see you someday for white water rafting! External Links
