Description of the Santa Fe vacation cottage rental

Quarters for a single or couple in a gated compound of 3 small houses in a park-like setting. The casita is located in the historic eastside neighborhood between the downtown and the foothills.
The interior is intimate and warm, with historic character.The small, fully equiped kitchen is off the larger living/dining area. There is a separate bedroom with queen bed and a bathroom with shower. The upper level rooms and large outside deck overlook gardens and trees and the hills and mountains beyond. Walking trails are adjacent to the property, leading up arroyos and into the nearby hills overlooking the city. There is off-street parking inside the compound and a separate laundry room with washer and dryer.
There is a one month minimum stay.

A short 10 minute walk down historic and charming Hillside Ave. leads to Palace Ave.,the downtown Plaza, museums and the Lensic theater. Hillside is a narrow lane lined with adobe houses characteristic of old Santa Fe. A 5 minute walk through the neighborhood in a slightly different direction takes you to the galleries and restaurants of Canyon Road. A longer 30 minute walk in yet a different direction leads to the Randall Davey Audubon Center, located well into the foothills. At Christmas, Hillside is a route through a neighborhood known for its traditional display of Farolitos and Luminarios. Both the opera and the ski area are short drives from this side of town.

• Deposits: A deposit of 1/2 of full rental fee is required before a reservation is guaranteed. Weekly rates are for a week added to stay.
   
• Other Fees: A fully refundable fee of $100 is required for any pet. Refund will depend upon owner's inspection at end of rental period. Damage for which renter is liable includes chewing, scratching,digging or waste damage in unit or on grounds.

We stayed in the casita for 9 nights upon arrival from the UK. It is a wonderful little "home from home", very comfortable and cosy. The views from the deck are wonderful. It is in a nice quiet location, about a 10 minute walk to Santa Fe Plaza. We would highly recommend this casita to anyone who likes peace and quiet, yet is convenient for Santa Fe. We would definitely go back and stay there again.  more...
