$900 per month Cozy Casita (studio) (#40914)

Santa Fe, New Mexico

Description of the Santa Fe vacation home rental

CUTE CASITA.

Ask us about our friends and family package, rent for the month and alternate your weeks with friends and family!!!!!

Extra effort has gone into making this unit accommodating for two people. If you’re coming during the ski season, you’ll appreciate the heat radiating from the floor; and, in the summer, you’ll find the thick adobe walls and cool breezes keeps it wonderfully cool; it is charming and safe and close to everything, especially Rail Yard Park which is only two blocks East.

The unit itself has well lighted off street parking for one car and an inviting little yard. There are no views, but it’s a great place to soak up some Santa Fe sunshine in the afternoon: very private. Inside, you’ll find a complete kitchenette with everything you’ll need if you want to eat in: there’s a microwave and fridge, stove top and oven. You can have breakfast in the morning, and grill some steaks in the evening on the outside grill. Albertson’s, Whole Foods, Wild Oats and La Montanita Coop are minutes away by car, or a 10-20 minute walk. The unit also has a washer and dryer in the walk-in closet area.

There’s a large flat screen TV with DirectTV Satellite; and you have WIFI.

Area Description

Two blocks east of Saint Francis is where the Railyard Park begins and is Santa Fe’s ‘new center of town.’ In addition to galleries, coffee shops and retail stores, you’ll find a number of fine restaurants in the area. Another half mile or so, you’ll be at the Plaza, Santa Fe’s traditional center of town. St. Francis Cathedral is there and lots more shopping, restaurants and watering holes.

There’s a great little breakfast and lunch restaurant about two blocks West of the house: it’s called the TUNE-UP, but, for years, used to be called DAVE’S NOT HERE because a guy named Dave owned it and had unsavory characters after him so they’d always say, “Dave’s not here.” I think that there is still a Dave’s Not Here Burger on the menu.

We’ve made this a place we’d like to stay. We think you’ll like it.

Other Vacation Rental Amenities

You'll be amazed by the array of things to do and see in Santa Fe. Attend a Pueblo dance, shop the celebrated Farmer's Market, and raft the waters of the Rio Grande. Ski and hike some of the most beautiful mountains on the continent, then play golf on courses with some of the most dramatic views in the country.

Expand your horizons by taking a class or workshop. Learn to paint, make pottery, cast a fly fishing rod, prepare a New Mexican feast or master a yoga pose. Hone your calligraphy, photography and writing skills or study dance steps, archaeology techniques and classic literary works.

Santa Fe has dozens of historic sites where you'll encounter thousands of years of rich history, from ancient Native American ruins to Spanish Colonial churches, mining towns and remnants of America's Wild West frontier days. Visit a Civil War battle site that played a pivotal role in the war's outcome. See a cattle ranch that once belonged to a 1934s Hollywood star.

Take a walking tour of Santa Fe's diverse architecture, ride a vintage train car into high-desert country, or peer into deep space on an astronomy adventure. Learn about the spirits that haunt Santa Fe on a ghost walk and meet the many birds of our region on a birding tour. Trek through mountain wilderness with a friendly llama or ride a horse or a Harley into the sunset.

You can meander through fragrant lavender fields, explore nature trails at a National Audubon Society center, and attend a wine festival in the country's earliest wine-producing region. Experience Indian Market, the world's largest Native American art market, and Santa Fe Fiesta, the country's oldest community event. Or take a road trip through some of the most dramatic scenery on the planet.

Because Santa Fe is one of the country's hottest art markets, the city is fertile ground for all kinds of work as well as sophisticated shopping. Hundreds of galleries host openings and exhibits year-round and studio tours take place throughout the year. Museums regularly exhibit new shows of work done in the Southwest as well as traveling shows from around the world.
