Description of the Santa Fe vacation home rental

This Garcia street home is about 120 years old. It is located on Garcia Street and was at one time owned by the Garcia family. The house is a rare double adobe with high ceilings and 4 fireplaces.

We have captured the pictures of the house displaying what it look like when it was purchased in 1988. Full restoration took well over two years. The house had a dirt floors in most of the house, and a dirt roof. The house had not been taken care of and as a result, the roof was about to cave in and was completely replaced. The original vigas were not large enough to comply with the current code for weight bearing roof, so they were replaced with new ones.

Everything external had to be approved by the Santa Fe Historic Committee.

One of the attractive features of the property is its proximity to Canyon Road and the Downtown Plaza, all within walking distance as well as several coffee shops and a grocery store!

It is a 120 year old authentic adobe architecture.
Neighborhood houses have similar look and feel.
In the heart of the Santa Fe historical district on Garcia Street. One block away from bookstore and coffee shop from the locals favorite - Garcia Bookstore and Downtown Subscription.
