Description of the Santa Fe vacation home rental

Big views of the Jemez mts are featured from every window of this beautifully designed custom built home, just NW of town in Santa Fe’s most sought after neighborhood.

We have spared no expense to outfit this never-occupied home, including a 42” HDTV with Direct TV and DVR, Blu-Ray player and IPod dock, wireless Internet throughout, a new large-capacity W/D, and a cook’s gourmet kitchen. The huge prep area features warm golden granite from Brazil, custom alder cabinets, a 6-burner Jenn-Air gas cook-top with griddle, convection oven and microwave-- all brand new.

Radiant heat rises from the warmed tile floors over 3,100 sq ft incl. 4 BRs, 4 baths, three kiva fireplaces, a spacious DR and a breakfast area with more seating for six. Lodge-style tongue-and-groove ceilings with vigas complement this Classic Northern New Mexico home built in the Pueblo style. Tasteful furnishings and original art throughout make it a great escape.

Outside, sit comfortably under the 1,400 sq. foot portal with another kiva fireplace to enjoy the sunsets. High end outdoor furniture (both front and back) allow for BBQs, star gazing, or just staring at the amazing mountain ranges. Three car garage and plenty of parking make entertaining a must.

Five acres ensure tranquility and privacy, but you’re only 15 minutes from town, where you can go to a wine tasting, gallery event, museums, musical concert, or stroll through the plaza, where local artists sell Native American art.

For ease of access, American airlines flies from LAX or Dallas to the small Santa Fe airport, just ten minutes from the house. Albuquerque is the nearest large airport.

We can provide a list of fun activities-- from galleries and tours, to hikes and restaurants, to make your visit to Santa Fe one of tranquility, fun, and unique experiences. Santa Fe is also a world class foodie paradise, with first rate Southwestern cuisine. During the winter holidays, lit luminaria frame the homes and galleries throughout Santa Fe-- beckoning you to visit.

Area Information

In the winter, ski Santa Fe peak or Taos. Cross-country or snowshoe out the front door. Take a cooking class from the Santa Fe cooking school... Visit the 8 Northern Pueblos for feast dances or celebrations... Sample tequila or wines at one of the 200 world class restaurants... And don't miss the galleries up Canyon Road.

Summer is temperate at 6,800 ft. Drive only 10 minutes to the famous Santa Fe Opera or flea market. Hike Bandelier, Chaco Canyon or Puye Cliffs. Or drive to the colorful, nearby towns of Madrid, Chimayo or Truchas.

In the fall, watch the aspen turn brilliant colors in the nearby Sangre de Cristo mts. Or drive the popular High Road Artist Tour or the Wine and Chile Festival, held close by.

Absolutely Amazing! A Chef's Dream!!!

February 25, 2013

This was our girlfriends' 14th yearly get-away to Santa Fe--and absolutely the best we have ever stayed at! 7 of us stayed at this beautiful property over Presidents' Day Weekend. Not only was it extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated, it was also perfect down to all the extras--such as a fully equipped kitchen, extra blankets in the closets, lots of firewood, fabulous showers, and really fun board games on hand! Our group of gals have several gourmet chef types in the bunch, and everything they needed was at their fingertips! The kitchen is amazing for group-cooking--lots of counter space, spectacular appliances, and beautiful dishes. When I realized I forgot to bring flour for our green chile quiches, I "borrowed" some whole wheat pancake mix from the cupboard. It was really delicious! I even found an incredibly unique dispenser for the hollendaise sauce! The views were spectacular and the setting was peaceful and serene. We were minutes from the plaza, but felt worlds away when we were at the home. The owners were so kind and patient--walking me through how to use the iPod dock, even though there were very clear directions left (which I noticed right after I got off the phone with them!). They even left us a bottle of champagne to welcome us. Everything at this home was perfect. I hope the property is available again next year for our women's retreat. Thank you, Deborah, for letting us enjoy your slice of paradise!

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

July 31, 2012

This home is beautifully furnished, well equipped, and very comfortable. It is located a few miles from downtown so is very quiet with lovely views. We felt like we had a wonderful Santa Fe experience. The owners were a pleasure to deal with and we would definitely stay here again.

Amazing and enchanting!

January 17, 2012

This home is filled with beauty top to toe. Every detail from how the home was built to it's decor is thoughtful and tasteful. We loved our stay. There were 6 of us and the spaciousness as well as layout afforded much privacy. The home is filled with beautiful art which added to our enjoyment. We highly recommend a stay here and hope to return many times ourselves. Location is excellent for views etc.

wonderous memories

August 28, 2011

6 days at this most enchanted home filled my life with many wonderous memories. Watching rainy lightening storms across a backdrop of distant mountains while sipping wine on the spacious portal with friends......and sunsets to hold you in awe. The beauty of nature, serenity and inspiration is all around this well-appointed home.A trip to Ghost Ranch, home to artist Georgia Keefee, included a adventureous hike followed by lunch for the very hungry at Abiqui Inn. Our motto... Shop til you drop and we did from the plaza in the heart of Santa Fe to the flea market next to the Santa Fe Opera where stalls of exotic goods filled our vision .....Bargains aplenty..... Sante Fe I will return

Enjoy Santa Fe City Life and Tranquil Rural Living

August 24, 2011

Two important aspects draw people to Santa Fe – the beautiful landscapes and the cultural arts. This magnificent home allows one to experience both while staying in an elegant, country setting. The house is a short driving distance to downtown Santa Fe, yet it offers expansive views of the landscape from inside the house as well as the portal – outdoor cooking and dining area with adjacent large outdoor living room. Neighbors are at a nice distance so you are able to indulge in the privacy and truly feel secluded. The large, elegant kitchen with several chairs along the counters provides a fabulous informal gathering place while the adjacent dining room provides an elegant, but comfortable, setting for dinner. A third, less formal dining alternative is provided in another area adjacent to the kitchen. The living room is comfortable and embodies the essence of New Mexico and the Santa Fe area. Plenty of seating, the fireplace and the entertainment center allow guests to socialize and enjoy watching movies. The floor plan separates the bedrooms and provides an adjacent full bathroom for each one. The house is clean and well-maintained. I highly recommend this house for those who want to enjoy everything that the City of Santa Fe has to offer, but also want to experience the tranquility and beauty of rural living.

The Land of Enchantment!

May 11, 2011

Our three day stay at this home is one we will not soon forget. If you are looking for a place where you can get away from the stress and fast pace of the everyday, then this home is perfect! The interior space and decorations set an elegant, yet relaxed, atmosphere which bestowed a sense of intimacy and tranquility to our stay. Sitting on the portal watching the sunset and stars in the night sky was enchanting. While the time spent in kinship with friends and family was lively. Easy access to a community coffee shop and walking trails provided plenty of leisurely activities, and access to the highway provides excitement of the Santa Fe Plaza. The photos online do not do this house justice! You can book your stay with confidence that you will not be let down; this is a home we would love to rent again!

Desert luxury

January 15, 2010

A beautiful home near Santa Fe with lots of solitude and privacy. The house is brand new and got everything you need for a great vacation. It's just a few minutes to get in to Santa Fe and enjoy the restaurants, shopping and night life. We enjoyed sitting on the porch sipping margaritas as the sun went down over the Jemez mountains! Now that's luxury!
