Beyond The Sea is a seaside style home in Old Florida Village. We are the second home nearest the beach. There are actually three beaches surrounding us. There are two pools in the neighborhood for your enjoyment.

Our home is actually only three years old in a family friendly community of 75 colorful seaside homes. The decor is beachy and relaxing. There are four bedrooms and an additional room on the third floor tower we use as a bedroom also. Kitchen is modern as are baths.The home is made of hardiplank with tin roof. Balcony is off the master bedroom and there is a side porch with outdoor shower; a front porch with rockers. The floors are Southern Pine with the exception of three of the upstairs bedrooms.Master Bath has double headed showers. Our home was featured in Better Homes and Gardens Summer Edition Decorating last summer. You will love the neighborhood, the shopping, the slightly secluded atmosphere. Our neighborhood is surrounded by lush tropical native plants to the area.We are only 15 minutes from the Destin/Sandestin shops, but are beaches are less busy and absolutely gorgeous! White crystalline sands and emerald waters. All beaches on 30A are blue wave beaches. We have dunes, lakes, state parks, cafe's, bike trails. The area
will make you want to return again and again. We did. Went on vacation last year and decided we wanted to purchase a home in the area.

The neighborhood, let alone the town is colorful with a variety of home styles. No condos over 4 floors are allowed. 30a has 14 beach towns, each unique and wonderful to visit.Seaside which was filmed in the Truman Show is probably most famous.Take a walk to Miss Lucilles' Gossip Parlor for a snack or coffee. You can use the computer in there or bring your own and hook into our wireless system. There are art galleries, art shacks, psychedelic taxis in town, and an assortment of restaurants. There are no fast food restaurants, however you are close to 98 and can find some in Destin which is nearby. The beaches are incredible. People not familiar with the area are in awe when seeing them. Antique shops are also in the area. You can rent kayaks for nearby lakes or bikes if you wish to go on the 17 mile bike train. Nearby Destin has chartered fishing. Also have several golf courses nearby.We are nearly surrounded by water in Santa Rosa Beach. One side the gulf, 10 minutes or so to our north the Bay.There are so many places to visit. Or you can relax at our home and rejuvenate.

We are a wonderful place to be! One of the 14 beachtowns between Destin and Panama City. Amenities in both larger cities such as small zoo, water park, Silver Sands outlet mall. Yet we have amenities of beach towns with wonderful local artists and natural surroundings.

What a great experience for the whole family. "Beyond the Sea" & the community that it was in was perfect fit for our family reunion. We will be returning next year for sure. The owner was superb with her communication & sincerely wanted us to have a great time. Everything & more regarding home entertainment was provided. We rented bikes for the family & chairs on the beach. The house, the pool, the neighborhood was clean and beautifully decorated. We brought our dogs as well and had plenty of space for them to play. The neighborhood felt safe for our 4 & 6 year old sons. We were close to Destin to take advantage of boating & parasailing. I can see my sons looking forward to their annual beach trip with the family; growing and evolving into the different activities offered at Santa Rosa's beaches. From a Northwesterner, I was impressed with the opportunities. Don't forget Elmos and the Red Bar, fun for all. Steve Sommers

 

 A Little Piece of Heaven, May 12, 2009

We had such a wonderful time! This beautiful, tastefully decorated home was the perfect getaway! Santa Rosa Beach is a new favorite - incredibly beautiful and the perfect climate! We only had to climb into the car on 1 occasin - the supermarket, everything else was within walking distance. "Beyond The Sea" satisfied the wants and needs of 5 women (no small feat) and we were so impressed with the location. We all had our own bedroom and every amenity we could imagine. I now understand why the owners bought after vacationing there. Truly a bargain - we will be back!

 

 Relaxation & simple pleasures, September 9, 2008

I haven't felt as relaxed & as peaceful in years as I did during the week my family spent at this precious & very roomy cottage on trendy 30A. Morning coffee on the porch rocker, walks to Ms. Lucille's Gossip Parlor for croissants or to the Key Lime Cafe for lemon squares, afternoons burying my toes in sand at the beautiful white & emerald beaches, fresh fish from GoatFeathers across the street and Saturday afternoons at the nearby SeaSide street market were just a few of my many, many pleasures. The kids all had their own rooms and baths giving everyone space. The WIFI was just perfect for working from "home." At the end of the week, I'd forgotten the past three years of stress....or even that I was running from yet another serious hurricane back home in Louisiana. I can't imagine that anywhere else would have been a better spot for my family during that time. My 30A will always be in my heart and a part of my precious family memories with our kids. I dream of my own 30A cottage

The house is beautiful!! We had a great time. All of the amenities made it just like home. Close to beach, nice little town. Comfy beds, great coffee pot, lots of books, and internet access very convenient. Would love to go again!!
