My husband, myself and our dog recently stayed at Villa Caserena and I was completely enchanted! The property was very easy to get to and well located for freeway access as well as visiting downtown Santa Rosa or hopping over to Sebastopol. We were greeted by the owner on arrival and made to feel very welcome. She even offered to dog sit our pooch while we were out sightseeing. The villa itself is a very private and cozy guest unit above the main residence of the owner's home. The entire property is very private and lush with it's beautiful landscaping and bubbling fountains. In addition, above the villa is a private rooftop patio that has an unobstructed view of the sky - perfect for stargazing at night! The only challenge we had during our stay was that the temperature that weekend was record hot and there is no air conditioning in the unit. Things did cool down in late evening as the heat lowered outside, but it got pretty toasty in the afternoon and early evening. But, that aside, it was just a wonderful place for a weekend getaway and we look forward to returning again.
